I'm having a difficult time, trying to figure out how this motel has so many 5 star ratings unless lower ratings are being removed.
When we arrived in the afternoon, (approximately 3:00), of our reserved night, the place looked deserted. The office was closed, but my name, room number, and "key is in room" was written on the door. There was a phone number to check in. I called the number and left a message.
The room was very run down. Old bedding, no pillow case on the old, flat pillows other than the zip on cover, which was torn on one. The sheets and towels appeared clean. The heater wasn't coming on so I contacted the number. The manager came and said he turned it on, so apparently he needed to flip on the breaker switch. I had to ask for the wifi password which was inside the one nightstand. No comfortable chairs to sit in, (two kitchen table chairs.)
We wanted to go eat, but didn't feel comfortable leaving our belongings so we turned around and went back to make a sandwich. No one else checked in that night, so we felt like we were all alone on the outskirts of town, and did not sleep well.
Would not stay again. Would not recommend to friends.

Room was not clean. Water wasn’t clear so didn’t trust it. We did not stay second night. Took the loss as they would not refund our money for second night.

Outside of hotel not like actual trashy, not kept up. Room 6 had only 3 half electrical outlets available for use. Small compact refrigerator was sitting on floor with tray and coffee supplies sitting on top. Room smelled, had to buy air freshener. MINIMAL furniture. Only picture on wall was glued up puzzle. No phone. Sink and toilet sized for midgets! Sink could fall off wall if leaned on per staff note! DO not stay here if you require ADA! Not supported! Cheapest bare furnishings used. Saw check in clerk once. Was told to leave room key hanging on wall when leaving, NO FORMAL CHECKOUT!

advertised laundry services although none on site, bed was too small and uncomfortable

We missed our original booking, but the owner made accommodations for our stay.
Thanks

Check in was a little confusing at first. Property owner left key at desk. Just called the number that was on the door and everything was great! Greatest view in the city!!! I could lay in bed and look at the mountains. Perfect place to stay for a night or longer. Just no breakfast but definitely worth the stay.

Basic motel but you know what you get - spacious clean room, shower with good pressure, comfy bed, reasonable rate for Alaska - check out the cemetary across the street, worth it!
2.0
It’s old - you get handed a room key and brief instructions and sent to your room - the television didn’t work - called twice to get the WiFi passcode - no answer - several other issues. It’s inexpensive and you get what you pay for - but at the rate I paid? Not so much. If they want to charge that much they have to do better.

Very nice glacier view. Very nice kitchenette. All at a reasonable price

I came late approximately 1 am, the manager was so nice when he handed me the key. I am a wheelchair bound person and able to get in the room without any problem. The room is nice and clean. Highly recommended to travelers

The outside needs a general clean up, while the rooms are dated and probably circa 1950, they do a great job cleaning them! It was a good spot if you are looking to get rest after long day of travel.

We did not stay here due to the fact the address says Haines Junction when in reality it is closer to Whitehorse. We drove our motorcycles too far to turn back and stay there. The advertising is kind of misleading.

Great place! We arrived after the office was “closed” but the office door was unlocked.
My receipt and my room key were waiting for me on the desk.
Great ending to a long tiring day!!
Would go back in a heartbeat!

Old and the building was slanting.

Older motel, but very clean. Nice and roomy, nice hard mattress.

Motel is very dated and significant attention.

It was actually quite nice once we got inside the room. The exterior of the hotel doesn’t do it justice. The only disappointment was when I went down to ask for some ice for our drinks, was told they don’t carry any on the premises. It was quite surprising for an establishment not to have any at all. Somewhat misleading about laundry, there is no laundry on the premises.

1/8 th roll of TP only. Room was clean but not ready. Heat didn’t work. But the only manager there was quite descent and got the tv finally working. This place should improve once he gets set up properly. Hope so!

This hotel is very simple and safe. The view from the hotel looks out into the Icefields Ranges. Haines Junction is a beautiful place.

A basic hotel, and loud

It's not a 4 star hotel. It was a place to rest your head after a long days trip. It was clean as clean can get for in the middle of nowhere.

Very clean and had a nice cabin feel! Staff was friendly and it was in a quiet spot, very safe and enjoyable stay.

Noisy, we could clearly hear the neighbors. Earplugs are a must.
The shower turned cold or hot randomly, maybe hot water is shared with adjacent rooms?
It's fine but old otherwise.
The view is great :)

Wi-fi terrible.
Comfortable

Cottage type room good, small town but good view from hotel room

Never saw a staff person. Walls were paper thin, we heard snoring from the next room. Heater wouldn’t turn on. Then, in the middle of the night it came on and was incredibly hot. Internet was incredibly slow. Decor included a framed jigsaw puzzle. Bed was like sleeping on cardboard. We got two packages of decaf coffee and none of that had caffeine. This was a cheap hotel, but even so, I was disappointed.

There was no one there to check in or out with. There wasn't enough towels for the three of us and the shower was freezing.

Very friendly. We were a late arrival and late check out and the staff were really good about everything.

Good value for money. The property is a bit dated, but the room was clean, bed comfortable and easy access to Kluane National Park. All the rooms face the mountains across the highway. Self checkin with key left at the front desk.

We arrived very late and everything was all printed and ready for us. We left early enough in the morning to miss meeting with the staff, but will use the Stardust again.

Pleasant stay

Easy to locates and it met our needs for a good nights rest.

The kitchen chairs kept breaking and we had to put them back together (dangerous). Bath towels were tattered. When we complained, we were given good ones. One day the toilet sweat, causing water on 1/3 of the bathroom floor, no tea towels in kitchen. Carpet in kitchen stained and gross. The view was spectacular. Beds were comfy. Toilet flushed, shower good. The friendly, young man working there alone, tried his best even though he had limited English. The office was closed most of the time.

Unexpectedly pleasant motel. Great mountain view and comparatively spacious rooms.

Room was large, & comfortable.

Room was nice and clean. The only complaint would be the paper thin walls so you can hear people in the other rooms.
