First of all, the check in area and hotel are in 2 separate locations!! I can’t believe that was never in any of the reviews I read. So FYI or just read the pre check in email lol. Good location and more spacious than other hotels

Excellent location under a 10 minute walk to Shijo station and Nishiki market is steps out your front door. Lots of restaurants and plenty of room for a family of four. The check-in process is the only odd part but it’s not that difficult to navigate if you arrive at Kyoto Station and it’s easy to catch the subway to Shijo station and walk to the property. Excellent property. We would stay there again. FYI…. The first floor rooms have opaque windows so you have no view. It wasn’t a deal killer but after a couple of days, it would’ve been nice to be able to look out the window for the times we were in the room.
