Stayed here just a night before our cruise from the nearby cruise port and it was great. Hotel is the usual Holiday Inn Express level, but very clean, in good condition, and quiet. Shower had good pressure. Breakfast was quite good and had an automated pancake machine, oatmeal, bacon, sausage, eggs, cereal, breads, pastries, juices, etc. Parking was affordable and located across the street at a seemingly unmonitored lot. Didn't have a chance to check out the pool but the location of the hotel also seems good and close to the beach. Our room had a view of the Pleasure Pier.

We arrived early off the cruise ship and they held our bags until the afternoon for check in. Staff was very nice and accommodating and we appreciated it!

This hotel was perfect for our 1 night stay before a cruise. It was clean, comfortable and well located. We didn’t have a car so having a great restaurant next door, and morning breakfast included were a definite plus. I would definitely recommend it as a place to stay.

The past 3 stays in Galveston have been at 3 different hotels. I won’t be switching again as I have found the one I will stay at again & again. This Holiday Inn Express! Very clean. The bed was comfy. Love the Dove brand products in the bathroom. Friendly Staff.

The room was very small, the bathroom had shower only. My biggest complaint is admit there so called "OCEAN VIEW" . More like a view of the boardwalk and pier. Listing should say it's a partial ocean view because you can't see much of it and what you can see is not facing east but rather north east. So you're looking at the shoreline of the peninsula and the boardwalk

We stay here every year for Mardi Gras. They staff is friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean and well kept.

We stayed here the day before our cruise and for 3 days after our cruise. When we got back from the cruise, we were there at 4pm when checkin started. We were told to check back in 10 minutes, 2 different times and each time they told us the room wasnt ready yet. It was the 4th time going up that I asked if the room was ready and if not, I wanted to cancel my reservation. At 4:45 we finally got to our room. Come to find out they were painting doorways and that is why we couldnt get our room on time. By the time we were able to check in they had a lobby full of people. I pay for a service and expect it yo be ready at its intended time. If a hotel is doing renovations of some sort, they need to keep their paying customers in mind. The pool gate was broken so you couldnt get in on one side, they didnt have bowls for breakfast and offered laundry but was told I needed to go down the road for quarters. There are many hotel options when cruising out of Galveston and I do not recommend this hotel. Their staff and people overseeing that hotel were there and made no remedy for a late check in or even said sorry for the inconvenience. I read bad reviews of staffing issues after I had booked and didnt think we would have an issue but we did. You can go down the road a half mile and stay at 4 to 5 different hotel chains that have better ratings.

Very nice, large room with view of the ocean. Room had sitting area, balcony with ocean view, and large TV. Parking was easy. Convenient to restaurants.

They were having a serious delay in checking in time.... we got our room until 6pm.... that's not good because we were planning on taking a good rest after a long drive.

The hotel was great, newer and clean. The staff was undertrained and rude. The check in took 30 minutes, with the system breaking down, and management was unavailable when requested to discuss $25 deposit that wasn’t explained during check in.

The checkin process was a nightmare. One person checking in guests with a line out the door. Not very well prepared for a crowd. Otherwise the hotel was fine.

Convenient location and good breakfast buffet. Room delivery from the Spot restaurant next door was great. Shower stall had some mildew. Toilets are short to the ground and a bit challenging for us older guests. Despite these minor concerns, we would stay again.

The parking is horrible to have a parking garage we have to pay for then walking around the streets that requires payment is ridiculous oh and not to mention the trap door for the patio really
