Hotel was clean! Beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful directing us on good places to eat.

Overall the hotel was great and the staff helpful. The only hiccup during our stay, happened when housekeeping did not make up our room. This is a trend in hotels now, that we are finding aggravating, it used to be such a welcome treat after a day out to find the bed made up and towels replenished etc. With rising costs for us as patrons, this is a service that needs to come back and be provided, and without us having to ask. At the least, i would expect this from a hotel chain such as Marriott.

I had a great time, amazing clean room

This hotel is top notch quality and customer service service and comfort and cleanliness.
I cannot complain about anything regarding the hotel room or the staff. However I will complain about the manner in which my deposit and payment was handled. It is now March 25 and I am still waiting to get my $36 back from the $250 that they charged my card the night I checked in for the room and incidentals.
I even received a PDF in an email from them with the final bill of $216 saying it was paid. I don't get it. I just don't understand how this particular hotels hold has been on my account for two weeks which is the longest I've ever had any sort of money held on my account for anything.
The worst part is it's almost feudal to try to fix it and call the hotel because they will tell you you need to talk to your bank and then when I talk to the bank they say you need to reach out to the merchant
It's not even like I need the money it's just annoying to constantly have to check to see if someone is doing their job.

Quality hotel, would love to come back. Very clean, very friendly, the bed was incredibly comfortable. 5 Stars.

Very clean, dog-friendly hotel with efficient check-in and helpful & friendly staff. Rooms are spacious with blackout curtains and comfortable beds & pillows. Very walkable location in downtown, which is exactly what we needed for our overnight for a friend's birthday, and we got a great deal for a random Friday night in Feb. Our only complaint is that the coffee situation isn't very eco-friendly, as it involved plastic trays you have to toss out with each use.

Should of had complimentary coffee downstairs would of been nice .

Our stay was great, service was top notch. the only thing I would say the elevator should have a key card access after a certain hour.

I stayed at this hotel due to local power outages. When I woke in the morning, the power was still out at my house, so I made a reservation for another night. Before I checked out and into the new room, my power was restored, and despite a no refund policy on the third-party booking Site when the hotel was called to see if they would give me a refund they did! Deshen at the front desk was very helpful! Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful hotel. Couple of drawbacks, restaurant was closed due to a faulty boiler. Tried to find ice, broken ice machines on 2 floors and front desk was not helpful. Mold in the shower and basin.
Bar was nice and bartender was very friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again, they just need to improve on a few things.

This hotel is easy to access from the highway. It was spotless and comfortable.

If you want your car broken into then stay at this hotel. Or pay $30 valet every day just to keep your car safe . Hotel manger didn’t help. Three cars in total broken into at this hotel no one did nothing not the police or the city and best part there is no cameras on site. Not safe at all knowing people can throw a size of a soccer ball rock at your window.

Everything around the property was walking distance. The staff were very polite and courteous. I really appreciate the fact that there was a valet watching over the parked cars all day and night

The beds are so comfortable!! I would say the only thing is that parking sucks and you can tell the hotel is understaffed. Every interaction I had with the front desk took more than 20 minutes of waiting unfortunately.

There were ant's in my room, coming from the refrigerator area. Not just a few, from check in to check out. An unreasonable colony of ant's, which definitely changed my entire review.

Modern hotel , very clean bed and room overall. Area around hotel can be sketchy although nothing happened during our stay it is advosed that you be aware whilst exploring the area.

Good basic hotel for Santa Rosa. In downtown and convenient. Parking was expensive, and the rooms were small with basic amenities, but it did the job!

Beautiful new hotel, only complaint is it’s not very sound proof. Was kept up until all hours of the night due to people partying. Security talked to them but noise continued. Other than great clean hotel and very accommodating!

I liked the convenience of this hotel to main road exits.
The food in the hotel restaurant was great!
Staff were very friendly and accomodating.
Thank you.

We booked a king bed room. When we got there the staff said sorry we over booked we are giving you two queens. Not I’m sorry, how can we make this right, nothing. Not cheaper either. My husband and I slept in separate beds as they were more of a full/queen size. Customer service is lacking here. The property is nice and clean so it’s a shame that the staff can make or break the experience. I also added the breakfast option when booking on Expedia and the staff said no you didn’t and did not honor my purchase. Poor visit all together

The hotel is only feet from US 101, a very busy highway. The rooms that were large enough were very noisy because of the highway. The rooms that were quiet enough were very small, with no clear boundary between the bed area and the bathroom. We changed from a noisy to a small room.

Biggest drawback was noisy bathroom fan that did turn off. When we asked front desk about it they immediately were aware of that complaint but said there is nothing that can be done about it. The fan stays on all the time. My wife could not sleep with the load fan on. Seems to be a very big design flaw in this building and I will avoid all AC Hotels in the future if this is the case.

This newer modern hotel was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I had the perfect room location, right around the corner from the elevator and right across from the hotel gym room. They had a nice snack and drink area where you could purchase things to take to your room. The hotel is located in the historic railroad area of Santa Rosa and had plenty to offer.

I did not care for the room. Limited privacy with the design and it was very noisy right outside our window.

I usually only have good experiences with Marriott Hotels but this was not one of them. Very bad location (over the freeway without sound proofing) and poor night reception desk staff.
I reserved a room through Expedia for two nights almost a month and half in advance for my 20th wedding anniversary. When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist seemed to not be able to properly locate our reservation.
We paid a premium price and we were offered a room on the freeway side of the hotel. The receptionist indicated we need to pay extra for breakfast, despite it being clearly included in our reservation price. We eventually worked that out, but she acted like she was doing us a big favor in all her interactions with us. As if we were to blame for her not finding the reservation, not having the breakfast included, and not getting a decent room.
The room was so loud it sounded like we were ON the freeway. Once we realized the room was too loud for us even to hold a conversation, we negotiated a different room but were only able to do so for the first night (at the same premium rate). The receptionist reluctantly helped us out but again.... it was a very painful process. We had to cancel our second night's reservation (since the quieter room was only available for one night) and reserve a different hotel in a different town. Not our ideal anniversary experience!
The rest of the staff (morning desk staff, restaurant, valet and housekeeping) were great.

had a great stay. everything was walking distance. lots of restaurant options. Parked our car and never used it till it was time to go home.

AC hotels appears to be a brand new property and has a fresh look. Rooms are extremely tidy.
Parking at hotel valet is expensive ($30/night) for this area where plenty of street side parking available. Don't know if cars are safe on streets overnight though. The hotel is literally on the 101 freeway and a room on freeway side can be a bit scary when curtains are opened. Rooms are pretty quiet though.
Plenty of great eateries/bar/restaurants on history railroad square (hotel side of 101 freeway). A little walk under 101 and through the mall opens to more of downtown shops/restaurants and Old courthouse square which are all beautiful.
Overall hotel is in a great location, felt very safe and in walking distance of railroad square & downtown Santa Rosa. Enjoyed the stay!!

Really nice. Great use of a small space.

Great hotel for a stay in Santa Rosa. Valet was super convenient and easy to use, it was easy to walk to almost everything we wanted, service was great, room was modern and comfortable. The shower was amazing!
For all who wonder, yes, you can turn off the super-bright nightlight next to the door - it had been left on and was brighter than the sun when we were trying to sleep, but there's a teeny tiny button on top of it that turns it off.

Overall a great place to stay and I would stay again. My only observation was, since there was no carpet, under the bed was very dusty. Everything and everyone was very nice and we enjoyed the happy hour several evenings.

Last minute stay. Would like to have had water in room and had the room cleaned. No maid service, no coffee refills and had to pay for parking (which is a pet peeve). But the hotel is clean, had wine tasting (which was very nice), the management was very friendly, and the downtown was walkable and fun stores!

This is the most dishonest hotel I have had the displeasure of paying to stay at in a long time.
Our check in at 4pm, which we called ahead to confirm, was then pushed back to 5pm after we had already arrived. The hotel hadn’t even started cleaning the room. The check-in agent at the desk was absolutely the worst. She did not greet me or any other guest and made us start the conversation. She did not offer any assistance in pointing out where the luggage carts were hiding in a corner. After an hour of waiting for our room I had to go back up to her and ask if the room was ready to which she replied, oh yeah it’s been ready. I pressed the question, “when did you know that?” And she said oh actually ai just learned now that it is ready. We had been sitting in front of her the whole time.
The worst part of the hotel though was the King bed Terrace room that we paid a premium for. The bed is a Queen! I was so astonished I actually had to measure it myself. The manager declined to adjust our rate for the first night but gave us a very small discount for the remaining two nights. The hotel still lists these rooms as having a king bed. I am going to submit this information to the BBB as well since this is an illegal business practice. The room wasn’t very clean. The door to the terrace has a very specific way to close and lock it that we could not figure out. Lastly the shower leaked out badly and into the room. We had to use every towel possible to dam it up.

I booked a king room and paid for a king room but was not given a king room. Here I am a week later after several phone calls with Expedia and the hotel and I still do not have compensation for the room. This is not acceptable as I should not have to spend time on this, I trusted the booking agent and the hotel to supply me with the room I paid for but I did not get. Please make this right.
Thanks Chris Salese
