Convenient to downtown Salem, indoor parking or public lot across the street with free overnight parking (pay starting at 8am). No complaints at all.

The hotel was clean. That’s about all the positive I have. The pool was dirty. The first room had broken outlets. The next room had broken/ripped curtains. They only cleaned up the room once in the entire week stay. The heater started making a loud humming noise which they never came to fix like they said. After talking to the front desk the refunded me the room only to pull the money out again almost a week later. They charge $25 a day for parking, and add on a $50 incidental when you get there that isn’t ever mentioned.

Really liked the layout of this hotel. They have breakfast in a different area than the lobby like you find in most hotels. Great location to everything.

It was a wonderfully clean, comfortable hotel in the perfect location! We walked all over Salem and had easy access to all of the things we wanted to do and see, and it was such a nice walkable neighborhood we were able to stumble upon unexpected gems.

This hotel is an ideal walkable location for all of Salem. It’s clean, comfortable, safe and quiet. But there are many restaurants as well as all the attractions nearby.

This is our third time here—enjoying the up to date amenities and free breakfast. Still not thrilled with the extra $25 charge for parking. Also, every time I want to look at my email it obliges me to log in as a guest—again and again and again. Same day too! I don’t get that! Otherwise, all good!

I loved that the hotel is near to all the tourist attractions walking!!!! We parked there in there and don’t worry about the car

This hotel is very clean, comfortable, and extremely convenient to restaurants and museums. Every hotel staff member,from the front desk staff to the parking attendant, that we interacted with were super friendly and helpful.

Watch for the crazy pet fee. 75 bucks that they didn’t mention until after I was checked in. Then refused to cancel my check in immediately (like I never left the desk immediately). Counter guy was rude. Checked out immediately after checking in. Principal of A 75 pet fee. Never again will a Hampden inn or any Hilton owned property. HH membership canceled, Amex HIlton rewards card cancelled. Pet fee extortion is unacceptable.

Weather was terrible during our stay (snow storm) but the indoor parking helped. Room was great, morning breakfast area was awesome, gym was adequate to get a decent workout in. Would definitely stay here again!

This was such a great hotel! The staff were lovely, everything was clean, the beds were so comfy I honestly wish I could rate it higher.
There is free tea and coffee available at all times and they give you a couple of bottles of water upon check in.
The details in the bathroom such as makeup wipes, eco friendly shampoo and conditioner and the body wash and body lotion all felt like premium products.
I knew it had good reviews when I booked but I honestly think this hotel should be given a higher star count!
If we ever come back to Salem, this is exactly where we’ll be staying.

Very lovely hotel & location. Staff is great. I was a little miffed that there is a parking fee ($21/night), but guess I missed that on the description. I just wish they left more blankets in the room & the heat/air didn’t make such a clunking sound when it turns on & off at night. The area is nice and quiet during sleeping hours except that. Overall hotel is very lovely!

This is a robust choice if you want to stroll around Salem.
Room is standard but comfortable.
Breakfast is the simply non healthy American style breakfast…. But when you traveling and you stop there just for one or two nights, the rest n house breakfast included in your room rate is a plus.
Parking is $22!

Hotel is beautiful and very convenient to downtown Salem and businesses. Complimentary breakfast was tasty and offered something different every day. Love the showers and beds are super comfy.

We liked everything! All restaurants, museum and activities were very close to the hotel; we walk to go see all we wanted. The pool and the gym were so nice and the breakfast = a delicious brunch every morning.

Hotel was very convenient however our room had gnats/fruit flys which was very annoying and then they charged to park inside hotel parking . Other than that it was a very nice stay.
