The room was really nice. It had obviously been upgraded recently and it had a lot of thoughtful touches. It would be nice to have outlets near the bed for phones… The building itself is a bit tired but renovations were ongoing while we were there. The neighbourhood is pretty, safe and lovely for an evening walk. There is a restaurant nearby, but it's not open Mondays and Tuesdays. On those days, you are going to be driving to get food.

We’ve stayed here a few times and every time it gets better! Love the updates they are doing and awesome staff! My wife and I both think this place feels like a second home with the perfect location.

We loved our stay here. Could not find anything we disliked. It was quiet and cozy. The bed and linens were so comfortable. Big showers with enough hot water to go around. Free television channels. The only thing i would personally like would be a robe and some slippers. Otherwise it’s top notch from check in to check out.

Other than they were in process of renovating while we stayed there, and our room was next to the workers who were using a table saw in the morning, it’s a nice place to stay and the rooms inside are well done, remodeled and clean. It’s a 5 minute drive to the old downtown area.

Renovation is almost complete, stayed there 3 months ago and the change is remarkable. The hotel still has a little left to tidy up but that's no reason not to stay. Staff has been wonderful both times we stayed.

The hotel and the grounds were beautiful! The owners have done a wonderful job of restoring it and have a lot more exciting plans for it. We can’t wait to return and stay a little longer. They have put a lot of thought in how to make their customers comfortable.

In Ocean Springs near bayou and Gulf course. Elvis use to stay and upfated rooms. Beds are the best. Great pleasant staff. Quiet and easy drive to Gulf. Quiet quiet. Capones restaurant across street. Swimming pool and tennis courts

The property was/is undergoing renovations and was not properly represented online. It was not inviting and being that we were the only black couple it also felt unsafe. We asked about altleast getting a refund for two of the nights reserved and were met with rude unfriendly help. So I do not recommend this facility to anyone.

The staff was very friendly. Check in was quick. Room spacious and clean. Definitely getting a remodel done on the whole facility. I would say in 6 months if they are finished, this place will be a perfect hidden gem. The golf course needs some extra love but I don't believe they are actually connected. We didn't get to visit the Sunset Lounge but saw it had a large crowd gathering so it must be the local place to go. We walked around the morning we left and found it and wow... it is absolutely stunning. This would be a perfect smaller wedding venue as well.

This hotel was pretty but the service and cleanliness were trash. They sent us to two different rooms that were not clean then had no one to help at the desk. Waited for awhile then finally another clerk assisting form another property tried to help us. They set her up for failure with dirty rooms, no housekeeping, and no staff. I also had booked a king room and was not given one. This clerk ended up cleaning our room herself. Delays everywhere…and I get that things happen but come on. Beds were not comfortable at all, the only thing worthwhile about this hotel was the one clerk and the drinks at the bar. All the renovations in the world do nothing if your service sucks. Also there were children running everywhere due to this also being the clubhouse for the gold community….lackluster at best

We didn’t have a phone in our room! Had to walk to the front to ask questions. They need a few signs out for you to find the different area on the property (ice machine) .. The new renovated ares are really nice!

This hotel has lots of potential. They are in the process of renovating and the rooms are very nice. There are lots of amenities, but because of our schedule we didn't have a chance to check them out.

We loved the area the rooms were clean and everyone was so nice. However the beds in our room were so hard, I love a good firm bed but this took it to another level. Also our shower door wouldn’t stay closed. It’s on a track and just slides open which ends up making a mess with water splattering out. I would definitely come back if the beds were more comfortable. But two nights of very little sleep kind of did me in.

Could not check in due to rooms not being cleaned on time. Hotel was being renovated and should not have had guests staying there to begin with. We were unable to enjoy anything because of it and could not check in our rooms and when we did they were still not cleaned and we were told we could wait outside at the pool until they were later into the night and were still charged full price on our stay!! Staff was very rude and unprofessional!

We lucked upon this hotel while traveling from Texas to Florida. We were so pleasantly surprised with the property and layout. The hotel was currently under renovations and we literally had the place to ourselves. We felt like we were getting to experience royalty and then to find out it was an Old Capone mansion at one time!!!! We were blown away with the sweet and knowledgeable conversation over coffee in the lobby. The staff was super friendly and polite. I would make the drive from Texas to just visit this hotel again. Pleasantly pleased.

We came in late at almost midnight & the staff was having difficulty logging in but they went out of their way to make sure we got a room & didn’t have any problems. We loved the back area, especially the ping pong table. We can not wait to go back & will definitely stay at the Gulf Hills Resort again. We’ve already recommended them to our friends & family
