I travel a lot for work and stay in many new hotels throughout California and Nevada. It’s rare that I choose to stay in the same hotel when I return to the same location. Most hotels are not exceptional at the $200 or under range required by my companies expense guidelines. South Lake Chalet is walking distance to the Casinos and so much more. As you drive up, you get a motel vibe but luxury on the inside. Easy parking and easy access to your room. There is great attention to detail - the little things matter. Most importantly, the beds are a very comfortable. There has been only one hotel I visit repeatedly. South Lake Chalet will be the second.

Everything was perfect. Communication was great. Room is clean and they thought of everything you might need and enough of it so you really don't need to ask for more of anything. Walking distance to everything.

The quality of this room for this price is unbelievable. The room was beautiful, very clean, and comfortable. We were never cold. It's a perfect spot to sleep and then go enjoy the town/slopes! So many amenities came with the room as well. The fireplace lights up on its own and can be a little bright at night but that's what the sleep masks are for! Lovely experience, highly recommend to anyone staying in Tahoe.

It was a decent place to sleep that was conveniently located in walking distance to heavenly village. Only complaint is there was a lot of dust on the base boards and under the bed. My sons are very allergic and made for an uncomfortable sleep.

Didn’t like the keyless entry system or lack of cable or satellite television. Room was otherwise very comfortable and clean. They should have tea in their selection of coffees because not everyone drinks coffee

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL STAY . Im a contractor and have stayed in about 4-5 different lodges or Inns similar to this property. I have been disappointed with all of them but don't complain because I can't expect much for pricing under $100 night. But I found this Stay for my last week working at Stateline and was so Impressed with how well the roooms are put together. And holy crap the beds are insanely comfortable! Great kitchenettes too! Lastly, the customer service is TOP NOTCH! Took care of our needs instantly! I'll absolutely stay here over any casino any day!

The newly remodeled hotel was very nice and modern. It is close to downtown South Lake Tahoe and all the Casinos. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had no issues during our stay.

Such a cool and private central location. Easy instructions on how to use the property. Excellent food and drink at Maggie’s across the street (plus tons of other places). Walking distance to the Harvey’s outdoor Amphitheater, casinos, lake and golfing. Really nice people and super responsive. Quieter than we expected. Super cute rooms with luxury amenities.

The unit is small, but modern, clean and comfortable and had all we needed. Great location to walk to lake restaurants and casinos. The locks are a little tricky and we couldn’t lock one night but a call to customer service was fast and efficient in helping us. I will say that it can get a little loud in this unit since it’s next to the cleaning crews storage space.

Our stay was great! The room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Highly recommend. We were in town for a show at the outdoor arena and it was just around the corner. It was perfect.

The locks were a pain but other than that it was absolutely perfect! Brand new modern decor and the bed was so comfortable!

I did not receive check in information 48 hrs prior to my stay as stated in my confirmation email. I had to call to get my access code. Upon calling I was told I didn’t not have the room secured because I didn’t pay the deposit fee when in fact I was emailed a receipt and the entire amount was deducted from my credit card account. I was then told my room was reserved already from Feb 1-5th and was not available. My reservation was for Feb 18th! It took about 10 mins back and forth for the customer service representative to tell me she found my reservation and she would email me an access code. She blamed the mishap on Expedia for not paying them. Whatever. I don’t care. That isn’t my problem. Most unpleasant experience ever, almost leaving me without a place to stay!

Clean, cute, cozy place. Walking distance to ski lift, shopping, casinos and restaurants. Quite a bit of snow and they were plowing the parking lot when we arrived. We told the guys plowing the snow what room number we were in and they cleared out our designated parking spot for us.

Great little find. Was already familiar with its location, which is excellent. Right near Stateline Ave. and easy walking distance to casinos or The Lake. Love Super Taco right across the street! Only thing I'd say is to make the door locks less complicated. They were a bit of a hassle. A code to get in and lock from the outside only and being able t deadbolt from the inside would be nice. Other than that it was great place.

Easy check in. The walls are very thin. We can hear the other guests walking and playing with their kid throughout our 3 night stay. I emailed management and it just got worst, it seem like they are now purposely making louder noises just because i complained after the firat night of their noises. If you're like me and is a light sleeper, i do not recommend this place.

The description says it has stove, but it only had a microwave. Hard to control the gas radiator temperature properly with thermostat. I think the reason is the temperature sensor is too close to the door and reads wrong temperature value. Other than that my family was generally satisfied.
