This hotel like much of the area is dripping in as much cool as it is coffee. I especially liked the record player in the room and the free loan of records of your choice. The lobby area was energetic while open and there are rental bikes and discounts to businesses nearby. It’s a bit of a walk from the station in a quieter newly developed part of the area but felt like a home away from home. Again like the area it reminded me of staying in hotels in NYC / Brooklyn. At the rate I paid it was a treat. At the rate I se it going for usually it feels more like a trick. Only complaint I had was the desk chair was pretty sad and uncomfortable and the neighborhood doesn’t feel as Japan as most others here. Very gentrified / commercialized comparatively.

Very cool hotel at the heart of Shimo. One of the most child friendly parts of Tokyo. Great bagel breakfast, clean, small room. Extra plus for the record player with great selection of records to borrow from reception.

First of all Shimokitazawa is a great place to visit, coffeehouses, thrift shops, record shops, restaurants, convenience stores, and very walkable location. My room was located on the first floor in the rear of the building. Lots of street noise late at night and early morning. Breakfast was good, consisting of toasted bagel, cream cheese, coffee, and yogurt. Location is very good, close to family mart convenience store and near to the train station. Stayed 3 nights, WiFi was excellent. I enjoyed

We sat outside with the provided breakfast each day, with NO traffic noise, as the hotel fronts on a Bike/Hike path. It was very sociable and pleasant, and sets a wonderful tone to start the day. The attached coffeeshop is also popular with the dogwalkers, so the front patio is cheerful and fluffy every day.

Such a dissappinting stay. Such an amazing area. Would NOT stay here again. AC is centrally controlled- at night, there was no option for fan or cooling, just Heat even though it was already so hot in the room. Temperature of heat was defaulted to 26C which is 79F. Even if you turned the temperature down, it would auto change back to 26C. Front desk isnt manned starting at 2300 so was unable to have it fixed. They didnt turn on the cooling function again until 1000. Ridiculous

It's relatively new, so very clean and efficient. - Nice breakfast option - bagels made on the premises. Each room has a turntable so you can rent LP's from the front desk. The bar is great and popular place to gather a long day - Wataru is a fun proprieter and bartender!

A simple little hotel, quite convenient to Shimokitazawa commercial district. I didn't get a chance to try it, but they have bluetooth-supporting LP players in each room, and records available at reception.

The room and the building was clean and quiet. But their hospitality was poor because I couldn’t find any amenities like toothbrush, cup, hairbrush and so on. It’s not rare to have like a set of skincare in a hotel of this price range but no they didn’t have any. Also no water bottle or any sort of tea / coffee. I would of payed if there were cash-on beverages in the fridge since there were no convenience stores nor a vending machine near. So I spent a night not being able to drink anything, wash my face and brush my teeth. One last thing, the room isn’t bad but i felt like sleeping in a prison since the window was so small. Thank you.
