Our stay at Shashi Hotel was definitely not a 5-star experience. When we arrived, the bathroom was dirty. The lights and TV in the room would turn on if one of us moved in our sleep. The lights in the bathroom would turn off while we were showering, leaving us in total darkness. Several times during our stay, we heard a restaurant manager loudly berating the kitchen and serving staff, shouting obscenities at them. One of the three days of our stay, the housekeepers did not clean our room. During turndown service, they turned down only one side of the bed, despite there obviously being two guests in the room. On the final day of our stay, the drain in the shower clogged, and the basin filled with dirty water. There were some positives: very comfortable mattress, very friendly staff, and delicious food in Carte Blanche. But, overall, not a good experience...wouldn't stay again.

Check in line was long with their credit card system down and I had to manually write credit card information on a long form. Check in process took more than 20 minutes. I was promised DoorDash gift card as the restaurant was reserved for an event, never received it. In room TV casting did not work.

Hotel was really clean and really nice but the onsite coffee shop is no good. There is only instant coffee in the rooms or very mediocre coffee for $7 in the cafe.

Have stayed at the Shashi multiple times. The staff are always friendly and wonderful, the rooms clean, and the food is great. We especially like the burger! Wish they would add salad and veggie options to the menu though. If you are in need of other dinner alternatives take a short Lyft ride to Castro Street where you will find multiple options. Sound levels vary depending on the room you get. This stay we were on the fourth floor and experienced noise from the room above, as if someone was moving items around at late hours. The room also had an adjoining door to the room next door, where the guest could clearly be heard singing and chatting. Recommend requesting a 2nd, 3rd, or 5th floor room based on this experience. This visit we also attempted to use the steam room and sauna area for the first time. The locker and steam rooms were found wanting and in need of TLC. Sauna was in ok shape, but be prepared with some type of footwear if you plan to use.

Everything was fine. My only negative was the room.
A little small. You have to move the arm chair to get around the bed. The nightstands on each side could have had one drawer. They look like they do, but it is just a solid piece of wood. Designer missed an opportunity to give a guest extra space.

The pictures in the reviews are highly misleading; while the front desk is welcoming and the lobby scenery is amazing, the actual room does not live up to expectations set by the online images, especially considering I booked a premium king bed. The room is very small, the WiFi is poor, and the TV operates slowly with strange issues. Additionally, the lights turn on randomly without any interaction with the switch. I only chose this place based on reviews but wouldn't personally return. I'll leave this for them tech heads in Silicon Valley. The only positive is the free parking, but overall, I'd rate it two stars solely for the front desk service. I even had to check out early due to the unwelcoming atmosphere at the restaurant downstairs, which felt discriminatory. Regardless, as a paying customer, I expect fair treatment like everyone else that stays here. I will not be back.

Boutique hotel in a quiet area of Mt View but with easy accessibility. Rooms were comfortable along with amenities including restaurant, bar, onsite coffee shop and spa facilities. Small meeting / work rooms also available in the lobby area. Very nice ambience

Property had no power or water until after noon on first day of stay. No working elevator in hotel and parking garage. Had to carry luggage up and down 5 flights of stairs. Room has no coffee maker, provided dirty burnt tea kettle. Would have been nice if they were able to place us on first floor, helped with luggage, provided coffee or water, some type of amenity. Overall clean with small nice rooms just very inconvenient without compensation.

We did not know before booking that they had a planned power outage for the next morning. With all the power out of the building we could not get ready and leave until the power was turned back on which caused us to miss our morning meetings.

Family one day stay was fantastic, between the hotel, the staff, the location, and on site amenities, I would definitely recommend this modern hotel and will be staying here again the next time we visit. It's hard to find a hotel with a sauna and steam room, which are right next to the gym and pool area, nicely separated from the lobby area. Great hotel layout and use of space, very well managed all around with super nice staff, thanks!

Conveniently located in Mountain view. Beds are wonderful and room is very clean. Definitely you should take a bike ride around Google campus. Breakfast is expensive and not worth it. Have it in Google experience cafe instead!

We stayed here with our two kids and it was great. Usually when you book using a discount site they give you the cheapest rooms, but that wasn’t the case. The amenities are nice too with a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Complimentary water. We would definitely stay again

The spots in the parking structure were very tight so ended up parking on the street. Ample street parking thankfully. I did not like that I had to cast to the TV to watch anything. Just give me basic cable. I’d love to have a night light or something. If you get up in the middle of the night, motion sensors turn all the lights on … a bit shocking and weird. A comfortable place otherwise.

The facilities were clean and comfortable and we appreciated the special touch of the turndown service with Ghiradelli chocolates on the pillow. Parking was ample and easily accessible as well.

It’s a very good hotel, however it’s out of proportion to be rated at Expedia as a 5 stars (definitely it’s not a four seasons or a ritz Carlton) 4 stars o maybe 4 and a half.
The hotel has a high end finish. I didn’t like that windows cannot be open.

It is a pretty new property - the design was superb, high-quality furnisings and design details. Food in the restaurant was outstanding - if expensive. Nice fitness facility. Free parking was a pleasant surprise.
