Great location. Good size rooms. We had the top floor and there were a lot of stairs. The clubs were a little noisy, but ear plugs were provided. Overall we did really enjoy the place.

This was a great property especially for the price. Not the most desirable location compared to other places Ive stayed in San Juan, but not once did I feel unsafe and I’m a female that was traveling with another female. 2 bars within 500 feet of the property that sold excellent food and cheap!! Coffee shop next door and a great breakfast spot was within sight. Property messaged me and made sure I was ok and if I needed anything. Only complaint was the steps. I had a 45 lb suitcase and it was a struggle(I overpacked). the steps are steep. I definitely think this is my new go to spot to stay when I visit Puerto Rico in the future. And for reference I usually stay at the Caribe Hilton and the Decanter hotel when I’ve visited over the last 4 years and they are both really nice properties, but I’ll choose La ferreteria from now on.

The location was convenient to Old San Juan and other areas of San Juan. There were a few restaurants and bars within a block or two, and a bodega a few blocks away. We rented three places because there were 11 of us. They were all clean and the beds were comfortable. We loved the balconies, and the roof top decks that two of our places had! There were some issues with us receiving our check-in info (it is self check-in), luckily I was able to get it through messaging in the app. Also, just an FYI - the air conditioning is only in the bedrooms. The rest of the apartment was very warm since we were there in late July. But, we didn't spent too much time in the apartments during the day, so it worked for us.
