Upon arriving, we were not motioned or welcomed to the check-in desk. I had to ask if I was in the right place to check-in. Once we entered our oceanfront room-we went directly to the balcony door-only to discover the latch was broken. The door would not open. We immediately called the front t desk for assistance. They said someone will be right there. 30 mins later, no response. My gf then went down to front desk and again asked for assistance and 3 people standing around suddenly remembered the phone call about a balcony door not operating! A call was made to maintenance and a very nice guy named Matt came RUNNING. The latch was fixed quickly and all was well until we chose to enter the bar area later that evening only to find the "bartender" half asleep on his phone in the lobby. Put down the phone, remove earbuds, do your job without the attitude! We wont recommend this place to anyone.

Too few handicapped parking slots. No exhaust fan in bathroom. No microwave. When i realized i had paid 3x avg off season room rate, i was appalled. Price gouching for Shamrock marathon participants...i was there visiting family.

We arrived early and was able to check-in at 10:30am, which surprised us. Hotel was very clean and staff was very friendly. Room was very nice and big. Water pressure in shower A+. Definitely will stay there in the future 😁

We came Virginia Beach for National Track meet, select Hyatt Place for Ocean view & board walk location. Enjoyed the view, clean room, service and location a lot. Staff and valets very helpful, would recommend stay here.

The property is located in the quieter area of Virginia Beach. The hotel is very nicely appointed and in very good shape. I stayed in a city view room which I liked very much for is modern design, attention to detail on guest needs, and size (both in and out.) The staff were very friendly and attentive.

Our room was spacious and clean. I wish the room had a microwave instead it's located on the even floors. If you don't use the valet parking then you have to use the public parking in the garage for $12.00 a day unless you leave for any reason,then you could be paying $24.00 or more.

Gave four stars as the ice machines on several floors (only located on even floors btw) were not working. Injured my knee and was not great to go all the way downstairs instead of just the floor below. Other than that I would definitely stay again. Nice people, walk right out to the beach, quiet rooms.

I loved the hotel. New and clean. Not thrilled I couldn’t park my own car. I also didn’t think it was too professional that some night employees were sleeping in the lobby area. I get they were bored and tired but there must be another place they can do that.

We stayed in the king suite for 3 nights and it was AMAZING! The room was clean. The staff were attentive and were exceptional. We asked for extra coffee and some supplies and were attended to immediately. It was a wonderful visit. We will be back!

Of the 3 elevators 1 was out of service, and with the foot traffic in the morning the wait time was unreasonable. Review hyped about the quality of breakfast. Not true. The fruits were obviously from the day before (towards the tail end of the breakfast, hotel brought out the new fruit). And the coffee was the worst as if they ran the water the second time in the drip machine. Overall, the breakfast was on par with Comfort Inn. Valet parking only. Rooms were clean.

Easy check in, receptionist Dave is very professional, direct and easy to deal with. The Lobby is clean and relaxing ambiance. The rooms is very clean and well maintained. Love it. My only concern is the position of the TV when you are at the bed😅 I would like to take this opportunity to mention Kara and there valet parking guys were so very very hardworking. There passion and professionalism Hotel should be grateful for and management should see that. I will definitely highly recommended

The Staff was courteous and friendly from check in to check out. The hotel was meticulously clean. MY wife and I we're wonderfully surprised to see that at breakfast, the hotel had real plates, utensils glasses and coffee mugs to use rather than the paper and plastic ware that most all othe hotels have their guests use for breakfast. The rooms were also meticulously clean very comfortable.

We loved the hotel! First vacation with our dog. The hotel was perfect for this purpose! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Access to the beach was convenient.

The property had no hot water for baths or showers. This hotel was fully booked and no one in the hotel had hot water for the night I stayed. After speaking with other guests they indicated there was no hot water the day prior as well. Very disappointing.

An absolutely amazing hotel. I was a bit apprehensive about the valet service initially because typically there's always a wait for your car to be brought around. But the valets at this hotel are phenomenal!!! The rooms facing the beach are a must!!! The breakfast was far better than expected. Always fully stocked, right up to the end of service. Food selection was great and thankfully not the same boring breakfast everyday. Bottom line.....this hotel is highly recommended and the name definitely suits it!!!

Nice clean hotel. Staff very friendly. Good selection of complimentary breakfast. Only complaints is about the indoor pool. There is only a baby pool 3 feet deep and maybe 12 feet in length. Disappointing for kids, specially during winter when outdoor pool is closed. Parking is $9 valet with in/out privileges. Garage across the street $12 but no in/out.

Was quite surprised to be informed that the pet fee was $75 for one pet for one night. Staff was very nice and efficient. Hotel is very clean, and breakfast was a first-class buffet. We did find out in the a.m. that the boiler/hot water had suffered a break-down and we could not shower. Not to worry though as the manager, Matt, refunded us our stay minus the pet and valet fee. Overall, a pretty nice place.

The hotel is just beautiful. The decor is lovely. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast buffet was outstanding. Great location right on the boardwalk. Highly recommend!
