About this apartment rental
Located 20 minutes from Liberia airport or 4 hours from San Jose airport, nestled in an old fishing village, this spacious two bedroom two bath condo has vaulted ceiling and sliding glass door to a lovely balcony with built in gas barbecue and eating area overlooking one of the two pools. This vacation rental has air conditioning, in home washer/dryer, WIFI, HIGH speed internet and cable TV. This rental is in the Sombras gated community, the only luxury condo complex within walking distance (100 yards) to the beach. The grounds feature paths meandering through lush tropical gardens, free parking and security. This is a gated community with a 24 hr security guard in place.
The condo features a full kitchen with kitchenware provided. The open dining and living area is spacious with a vaulted ceiling and comfortable furnishings. The master bedroom has a walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom with large shower. Both bedrooms have king sized beds, linens and towels are provided and separate bathrooms. There are also beach chairs and coolers for your use.
The beach town, Playa del Coco, has large supermarkets, diving stores, tourist tiendas, hardware stores, banks, restaurants, etc. In addition, next to the gated community is a small shopping center with realtors, a small grocery store, restaurants and bars. While the Main Street of Coco is with in walking distance (0.4 mile) and may get lively at night, this location is quiet and peaceful.
Our property manager has a "Club House" where one can wait if they arrive before checkin time or if your check out is well before you plane leaves. She also can make arrangements for an electric cart to rent and will have it in your parking lot when you arrive and will pick it up there when you leave.
Your VRBO price includes the 13% VAT tax that is paid to Costa Rica.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 week stay. Our 5th time to Coco and this was, by far, the most well appointed place we’ve stayed. Not once was something missing from the kitchen during meal preps. Knives could be sharper, but that’s everywhere. Mornings on the balcony watching the iguanas, squirrels, humming birds, parrots and woodpeckers that live in the tree just a few feet away was a daily adventure in itself. Our Host Lisa was quick to communicate during the inevitable, albeit short, power and internet outages. Lastly, Jonathan and Siani at the Security gate were friendly, funny and made our stay better.

The condo was tastefully decorated and well equipped. The view from the balcony was beautiful and relaxing. The owner was very helpful. Within walking distance of the beach and anything you might need. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

A quiet and friendly place to stay in Playa Coco. Very conveniently located. Walking distance to the beach (5 min), restaurants, shops etc. The unit was well stocked with everything we needed. Lovely pool. We enjoyed our stay.
