Manzanita Magic is a condo that is on the top level giving you spectacular 180-degree ocean views. Sit and enjoy the ocean and mountain views from the wrap-around deck or the large picture windows even if the weather is not the best. This spacious, 1,690 square foot, three-bedroom, two-bath condo is perfect for a small family getaway. The large open floor plan with the kitchen, living room (TV with local channels only, HDMI accessible), and dining room is perfect for gathering with the entire family. The main bedroom with a comfortable features its own private bath with dual sinks, a large shower, and a spacious Jacuzzi tub. The two other spacious bedrooms feature a comfortable bed each. These rooms are connected and considered a family suite. There is a door that leads to a large back patio, perfectly blocked from all the ocean wind. THINGS TO KNOW Only one dog allowed There is no AC available This home will have a seasonal gas grill that is generally available from May through September, depending on inclement weather. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. No more dogs are allowed. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation. Nice property, easy walk to businesses. Dog friendly was a must and this place was great. Little backyard up the hill was perfect for quick doggie outings.
Two of the bedrooms are adjacent such that you need to walk from the outer bedroom through the inner one to get to the bathroom (or go outside and walk the wrap around deck). Something to consider if you plan on needing all 3 bedrooms for sleeping. (We didn't so it was fine).
Would totally stay here again.

Incorrect instructions on how to enter property and location of lock box.
Front door up one set of stairs on left side of building and lock box mislabeled, It's not the top one but bottom one?
Master bedroom slider jammed closed. We got it opened a little the second day, but there's no screen. None of the windows open in this room. It's the only ventilation it has. We couldn't leave it open without the screen because a family of racoons had eaten through the screen in the kitchen and entered to eat our dog food so we couldn't sleep with a screenless slider open.
The oven didn't work properly. It doesn't hold the temperature and it would lock at random times. This ruined our first night's dinner.
It deserves 5 stars for location and access to the beach, but the deferred maintenance should be considered.

Overall, this was a great stay. We enjoyed the location, very walkable to town and close to beach. Views were amazing. Kitchen was well-equipped, with adequate dish soap, paper towels, seasoning, cooking utensils, etc. as well as basic toiletries. Plenty of space in the front t room and the dining room as well as plenty of seating on the deck.
The stay could have been enhanced with use of the garage. There was no place to store bikes or surfboards. You would need to cart them up several flights of stairs to get them into the back patio area. Some things could also be updated like the comforters, the main bath. Also the dining room and outdoor chairs/table were really worn. But the views and location were really why we were there!

This was an awesome house - spacious and perfectly laid out for 2 families and a toddler. The views of the ocean and sunsets and, unexpectedly, the weather were spectacular. The house was exceptionally clean and had a well-provisioned kitchen. Our only challenge was that we arrived in the dark with no exterior lights on. There was an obvious entrance off the front deck, but one lock was stuck, and locating the correct entrance described in the instructions was confusing in the dark. A call to Vacasa’s after-hours number was unhelpful. The local Manzanita office, however, was exceptionally helpful during our stay! The Manzanita office gets 5 stars!

We only recently discovered Manzanita and now it is our favorite place on the north Oregon coast. This property has lots of room, and is nicely situated close to the beach and downtown.
There are lots of stairs to climb, but other than that, we would definately come back.

Both good and bad, The view was incredible and I could not have asked for a better location but the living space was VERY uncomfortable - the living room chairs were not comfortable in fact the bottom was completely busted out of one recliner and the other one is on it's way out. The dining room chairs were equally uncomfortable, they were hard and wobbly and not conducive to a nice sit down dinner. I was VERY irritated that given the price we paid we had to strip the beds and do a load of wash, I have never in my 60 years been asked to do that!!! Those were the big things but he other little irritating things were that there was a really bad storm on Friday-night and I went to find candles incase the power went out and there was not even one emergency candle to be found! In addition we could not for the life of us figure out how to use the DVD player and it took two of us 30 minutes to figure out how to use the TV - again there were no instructions to be found, or a guest book of cool things to do in the area. Love this place and if you fix the above let me know and I will be back but otherwise - count me out :-(

Eight men stayed at the two units for 3 nights. The units were very clean, and the property management allowed us to begin using the units at noon, because the units were ready ahead of time. We cooked all meals there in the upper unit, and the kitchen was very well stocked. We had a problem with one outside screen door on the deck, which had been damaged by the wind. I reported in to Sunset Vacation Rentals, and they had a repair man there quickly to fix it. We were very happy with our stay, and we will rent from Sunset Vacation Rentals in the future. Excellent spot, quiet with ocean view and close to town. Beautiful front room. Stovetop and some furniture have seen much use. Third bedroom situated so that person has to walk thru second bedroom to get to bathroom.

First time staying here, and is my new favorite. Clean and comfortable, with great view for first stormy day, and great location for walking into town or on the beach. Maybe the best appointed kitchen of all the places I’ve stayed in Manzanita.Lots of stairs made it a bit of a challenge carrying all our stuff up in the rain and in the dark the first night, but it was worth the trouble! We did have people in the unit below us, so if you don’t like that idea maybe something to consider, but it was a non-issue for us.

Great house. The only issue for us was that the three bedrooms are not completely independent. You need to pass through one bedroom to access the other. This would work well for a family with small kids but was a bit annoying for our group.

Great location near town and right across from the beach. No need to move the car for the entire time we were there! It was winter, with wind and driving rain at times, but we expected that and planned accordingly. Had one amazing sunset despite the rain.We stayed in the upper unit, which has lots of stairs just to get in and out of the house. Our mid-80s-aged friends navigated them, but it would have been nicer with fewer stairs. But higher means better view.We are all big cooks, so we brought groceries and cooked every meal we were there. The kitchen is ALMOST up to that activity, but many pots and pans are in bad shape. We managed, but just. It was wonderful to dine at home, although we understand there are good places to eat in Manzanita.

House was clean, view was fantastic, beds were comfortable. Some amenities could use up grading. The quality of the pots and pans did not match the quality of the house. The house could use a dust pan, or one that is not so well hidden. Overall we had a great experience. Thanks so much.

Manzanita Magic is in a great location with a well stocked kitchen. However, be prepared to climb some stairs as there are 3 flights to pack in and out. It is also the upstairs unit of a condo so don't pick this property if you want your privacy. Overall the property is in need of some TLC. Toilet paper holder falling off, closet doors falling off, and an ancient refrigerator. It is overpriced based on location, but the condition doesn't justify the rate. Also, there was visible hair in the hallway bathtub which left us wondering about the attention to detail with cleaning. This is a one and done for us.
