The Boathouse was attractive and comfortable. We very much enjoyed our stay. Saw a Bald Eagle fly by on the deck! Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed my stay to the boathouse. I loved that it was in town but very secluded. The place itself is adorable. Perfect for a couple of 3 people to stay. I loved my personal note from the owners, small touches like these make my day! If the need aides I'll def stay again!

Nice little converted boathouse right on the river. The place was clean and furnishings were just right. Deck overlooking the river was a great feature. Nice thoughtful touches throughout. Super for a couple's getaway. Very walkable with quaint places nearby. Parking was a little dicey because of rain and unpaved drive, but perfectly suitable and convenient alternatives. Fits three -- two idyllically, three is a stretch.

This beautiful one bedroom is a finished room above a garage (boathouse). The expansive deck overlooks the east branch of Brandywine Creek. It's a great place to sit in the evening, or anytime for that matter. I took a nice dip in the creek. My wife and I took the place for four days as a getaway/disconnect vacation. The house is conveniently located a four-minute walk from downtown Downingtown. We had easy access to several good restaurants, including the Downingtown Diner, scene of the diner that was featured in the 1958 movie, The Blob. Within a ten-minute walk was a nice paved walking trail and very nice parks. Overall the location is great. Downingtown is quaint and you are close to the Valley Forge National Park and several cycling/walking trails. We also had a nice evening in Phoenixville, about 30 minutes away (home of the Colonial Theater, also featured in the 1958 version of the Blob). The apartment is nicely appointed, with a sitting room and dining area, kitchen, bedroom, and full bath with washer and dryer. We had several meals in the apartment and all necessary dishware etc. was provided. Our hosts were very gracious and quickly responded to all notes. Overall the stay was great, the place is great, and we had a great time there.
