The Sandbox is nestled among the evergreens and beach plums on a beautiful quiet street, just 1 short block away from Broadkill Beach. Walk along our pristine, pet friendly crescent beach for miles in either direction collecting interesting shells and treasures. Watch the dolphins play, as you watch your kids safely splash in the gentle waters of the Delaware Bay. This unique home offers space for family gatherings with the ability of privacy. This beach house is perfect for family bonding, has all the comforts of home with natural light streaming in the windows, multiple places to relax, even an electric fireplace and free WiFi. There are 2 separate levels, which together can accommodate 13 guests. Each level is air conditioned, has 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath, full kitchen, dining tables, living room (with futon or sofa bed), and a 3 season porch. The Washer & Dryer is available for your use for light items in the lower level. Lower level full bath has a shower stall, upper level full bath as a shower/tub. Off-street parking available for 4 vehicles. Sleeping arrangements: Bedroom 1 (lower level): Double bed Bedroom 2 (lower level): 2 Twin beds Living room (lower level): Queen Futon Bedroom 3 (upper level): Double bed Bedroom 4 (upper level): Double bed & Twin (Bunk bed) Living room (upper level): Queen Sofa bed The 3 season porches provide a peaceful place, a sitting area for coffee or quiet meals, while taking in the sunrise or sunset. The two full Kitchens are stocked and loaded with all the necessities for making and serving meals at home. Multiple dining tables give room for family meals, games, puzzles and family fun. Settle in at the end of a long day in either living room to enjoy streaming your favorite shows/movies on the Roku TV. The beach access is at the end of a road, a very convenient and an easy walk from the house. In the shed at the end of the driveway, you’ll find a wagon to use for your trips to the beach. When you comeback, wash off the sand in the outdoor shower and then fire up the propane grill for a family barbecue! Broadkill offers a quiet, relaxing setting to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Kick back and read a great book on the private beach without the crowds of the public beaches to disturb you. Dogs are permitted on the beach year around and you can have a bonfire on the beach too! Kids will enjoy the small waves of the Delaware Bay as you sit in the water nearby. Visit the Broadkill Store which offers fishing tackle, an assortment of grocery items, sandwiches and great milkshakes to order, a small gift area, and don't miss the homemade donuts on Saturday/Sunday! If you'd like a custom date range (instead of our weekly Sat-Sat), simply message us with the dates you are looking for, and we will do our best to accommodate! GUEST ACCESS: Guests have access to both levels of the home and the driveway shed. Locked workshop at the rear of the house is private and off limits. ITEMS TO BRING: Bath & beach towels, Bed linens, soaps, toiletries and paper products (TP, paper towels and napkins). Beach chairs and umbrellas are also recommended. We do have a wagon available in the shed for you to use. LINEN RENTALS: Bed & Bath Linen rentals are available through Flip-a-Sheet. Our family stayed at this listing at the end of August and had a great time! The beach was super close by and we were the only ones on it even though it was August. The property itself was very spacious and quiet. The only thing we didn’t realize is the steps to go up and down were outside the property so it’s like it’s two separate units, which worked great for us. Also, not all of the bedrooms have air conditioning, but there are plenty of fans in each room. The property managers promptly answered any questions we had and were so easy to work with. We had a great stay and would stay here again!

Karen and Kaylyn were wonderful hosts!! The rental was perfect for our family, plenty of space to spread out!! The rental was very clean, stocked and at a perfect location! Will definitely rent from them again!!

My husband and I chose this property after deciding to take a quick getaway for our anniversary. We wanted something close to beach in Delaware that was also pet friendly. The house was perfect size for us and our dog. The beach was also very pet friendly. Great neighbors. 1 block walk to beach. Great area to walk and bike. Kaylyn answered all my questions and concerns before booking as well as great recommendations for things to do in the area. I would highly recommend this property.

Our family with older children stayed downstairs and our friends stayed upstairs. It was a great place for us to be together S families and let the kids hang out, but we still had our own private space. Easy walk to beach.
