Plenty room for 2 people, very clean, well looked after and well equipped accommodation. No facilities in Cleator itself, but only 3 minutes drive into Cleator Moor which has a good Co-op and numerous takeaways. Nearest bar is at Wath Brow Hornets RL club, 0.9 miles so a 20 minute walk, had a decent pint of Wainwrights there.
Stairs a little steep and no upstairs toilet so be careful if you have mobility issues. Property is a 2 up 2 down mid-terrace on a main road which is quite busy, but there is good parking right outside the door. Cleator and Cleator Moor are quite run down old mining areas, but 2 minutes drive and you are right into the countryside.

The house was lovely . It was clean and spacious. Kitchen was very well equipped. The owner provided even tea and coffee. The parking was in front of the property which was very useful. It was a washing machine and tumble dryer too.
Because of strong wind we couldn't go to the mountains one day but instead we went to Scotland to Gretna Green.
Long drive to the main hiking spots at least 1 hour.

Beautifully modernised and decorated throughout, Flosh Cottage is well situated to explore local beaches, fell walking routes and of course some of the numerous lakes that make up The Lake District. Enclosed patio for our dog, spacious, quiet and comfortable this was the perfect place to explore the gorgeous Cumbrian landscape. Parking is available and if you order your shopping online there is ample storage as well as fridge and freezer space. Ryan kept in touch with us before our visit so access was easy and a booklet of recommendations was left as a guide to amenities. Our hosts were outstanding and it was a real pleasure to stay at Flosh Cottage๐
