The property is absolutely beautiful. It’s like a fairytale. The views and the grounds are beautiful, inside the property is even better, very cosy and homely. I don’t think Ive ever felt so at home away from home.
We loved the decor and the furniture, if you’re looking for something from an Ikea showroom this place isn’t for you but if you’re looking for beautiful period features and interesting art and antiques with history you will love this place like we did.
We loved everything

The Gate Lodge at Gwrych Castle is very unique and it feels like you are living in a medieval castle. The main bedroom has a 4 poster bed and all the furnishings throughout give it this medieval feel . It is also very private as the main gates are locked . There is a nearby forest walk which takes you to caves and next to them are vertical rock faces for rock climbing .
Nothing really apart from every time you enter or leave the property you have to unlock the main gates .
