Views of the sea in both directions, watching the sunset, spacious living area and bathroom, comfortable chairs on the balcony. Short walk to both major supermarkets for cooking supplies, plenty of cafes close by. Great to catch up on my workout in the gym. I didn't swim but the pool looked great.
The filtering machine in the bathroom was a bit noisy but the entire apartment is well insulated so it can't be heard in the living/sleeping room. Poor ventilation in the hallway between the lift area and apartment door.

Its proximity to most of the city highlights by foot. The bed was comfy and large!
As the swimming pool spent the entire day out of the sun the water temperature was icy cold . Unfortunately there was no tea or milk or sugar provided on arrival ! There was a wet swimming towel left behind the bathroom door.

The location was excellent and very convenient for our stay in Darwin. While Eli was extremely helpful and responsive both before and during our stay, and the text communication regarding arrival, key collection and parking was clear and helpful he failed to tell us before check in that this was a short term rental and not a room at the Mantra Pandanas.
Our main concern was that it was not made clear when booking that these were privately managed short-stay apartments within the Mantra Pandanas, instead of accommodation operated by the hotel. We only became aware on the day of check-in, when the arrival text advised that Mantra reception and room services were unavailable and that housekeeping was only available after seven days. We stayed for five nights, so there was no servicing or replacement of towels or bath mats during our stay.
This was an issue because the shower design allowed quite a lot of water onto the bathroom floor, leaving the bath mat saturated, and by the end of the stay the rooms had developed a musty smell from the damp towels and bath mat. The bathroom basin also needed cleaning after a few days.
There were also some cleanliness and maintenance issues. Both rooms had two ceiling fans that were very dusty and needed a thorough clean. In one of our rooms, two cockroaches were seen and neither of the two safes worked.
We had spoken with Eli by phone before booking and again before arrival, and although he was very helpful, the nature of the accommodation and the lack of hotel services were never mentioned. We also went back and checked the Booking.com listing afterwards and could not find this clearly disclosed. Had we known this before booking, we could have made an informed decision about whether this type of accommodation suited us for a five-night stay.
