Stunning location set amongst the vines in Mutigny. The hotel is modern built, with exceptional thought given to both how the property will be used, and the use of natural light. It has a number of value adds such as an art space that you can drop in and out of that would also be the most delightful spot to check some work emails if you couldn't avoid it. The staff are all prodigiously multi-lingual and delightful. The pool, overlooking the vines is a charming spot and somewhere I visited twice in our one night stay. It is the kind of place that would benefit from a couple of nights stay because we found that despite our best efforts, we couldn't make use of everything with just a one night stop over. We had dinner here, which was excellent and breakfast likewise was a five course affair before we eventually staggered out to our car and onwards towards home.
As delightful as it undoubtedly was, my personal view is the pricing is probably a little on the high side, even accounting for the prodigiously beautiful spot, excellent service and facilities. But also the pricing is known at the time of booking so every visitor can make their own choice on this.

The only thing we didn’t like was the service at dinner. There appeared to be sufficient staff on duty on what was admittedly a very busy night. The dining room was full of had certainly filled up by the time we were seated and waiting. We ended up leaving the restaurant after 25 -30 mins of being sat, and no one had even taken a drinks order. menus were given to us when seated but after that we were forgotten. Waiters and waitresses walked around us , I tried to catch the eye of one several times and then just felt frustrated at the lack of bothering - that we felt unbothered too- we walked out. We did however get exceptional service from the colleague serving at the bar, he more than made up for our service in the dining room and we also appreciate that one of the staff from the dining room did come over to apologise. What was surprising to us - was that there was no duty manager present on what appeared to be an extremely busy weekend ( Sunday ) and the hotel looked to be at capacity. Will stay at royal champagne on the next trip.

Bed was large and comfy
Lighting in the rooms was bad, shower smelt, had to ask for our room to be cleaned, felt like the hotel prioritised other guests from bigger groups or tours. Need a car to get between places ideally.
