Awesome location next to the Mekong river with a stunning view of the sunset. The staff and Henry, the American owner, are very friendly and helpful. The resort has a stunning swimming pool and they serve a great breakfast next to the river. I was traveling with my son and this was one of our favorite places during our stay in Asia.
The resort is situated a little bit away from the busy area of Luang Prabang and therefore nice and quiet but they provide free transportation to the city center. Getting back is no problem at all as there are loads of TukTuks in Luang Prabang to bring you back for a good price.

What I liked the most was the property's privileged location, beautiful amenities, breathtaking views of the Mekong, wonderful staff, impeccable service, delicious breakfast, and lovely pool—in short, everything. Everyone went above and beyond to make me feel truly welcome. I had been looking forward to my stay in Luang Prabang, and I was not disappointed. A truly peaceful and memorable experience.

Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to leave after one night. On The Mekong staff were very helpful and very kindly provided a full refund for the three nights we did not stay. We are very impressed by this service as we obviously gave them very short notice. They even said that we were welcome to come back and use their swimming pool.
