Beautiful property in a lovely location. Very comfortable bed .Parking .
There were only 2 staff trying to do everything hence the evening meal wasn’t really up to scratch both in quality and service .

Our rooms were beautiful, well appointed, and clean and ours opened out onto a grassy area with pretty much private seating and lovely views.
There was one member of staff who was helpful and kind. We think she is from Romania, and she spoke the most English.
Hotel staff availability:
Hotel staff were genuinely attentive and immediately to hand just once, when we were packing the car on checkout day and a lady ran out after us because she thought we were going to leave without settling our food bill. (Funnily, our teenager was still in his room packing).
We ate breakfast there just once - we had the feeling that as the only 3 guests wanting to be fed at 9am (when breakfast was said to start) we were an inconvenience. The place wasn't laid up for breakfast at all, and they clearly don't feel it's worth it for them. I ordered 'cereal with milk' expecting to get a choice, and was given a bowl with cornflakes and warm milk, and that was that (see pic).
We dropped our room keys at an empty reception desk on our first morning to go hiking for the day, but on eventually finding someone to hand them back later, the member of staff reacted like we were a nuisance because we hadn't read the key instructions.
Restaurant:
Overpriced evening meal, One fish dish arrived smelling like it was still raw and very fishy (but, not in a good way)
Building site:
We were not warned that at 8am on the Monday (2 days into our 4 day stay), workers with loud power tools would be building a new plunge pool just 10 meters away from our window, looking directly down and across into our room.
Our room being noisy and losing its privacy on the Monday morning would have been courteous. Perhaps there could have been some complimentary drinks to recognise that we were paying a luxury peak-August accommodation rate to stay on a building site for some of the time?
The reason for our stay in Spain was for our son to practice his Spanish. Unfortunately for us, it turns out that his fluency wasn't up to the job in this particular hotel, (although we had no problems in any of the other 4 hotels we stayed in during our 2 week trip.) I do wonder, had we spoken fluent Spanish, whether our experience would have been more...
