The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The shower was good, once we learned to put the handle in the middle for hot water. (Same for the sink.) It was wonderful to be able to open the window and let in the fresh air. The location is fantastic, right in the center of town.
The walls are thin and we could clearly hear those in the adjoining rooms. The loft of one of the neighbors was directly over the bed and light could be seen coming between the floor boards until they turned the light off.

The location
This is my first time writing a review like this, but after our recent visit to Montenegro, I feel it is important to share our experience so future guests can make an informed decision.
During our trip in September, we stayed for a few days in Žabljak and rented the three-bedroom apartment in this house. First, I think guests should be aware that the three-bedroom apartment does not have a kitchen. The bathroom is also extremely small. In reality, the accommodation is essentially three beds/bedrooms a few prices of furniture and a very small bathroom.
However, the most concerning part of our stay was an incident involving the landlord and our privacy.
One afternoon, we knew it was going to rain, so after lunch we returned to the apartment. We opened the window and were lying on the bed, simply enjoying the peaceful sound of the rain. We had locked the door from the inside and left the key in the lock.
A few minutes later, we heard someone trying to unlock the door. Before I even had a chance to fully get up, the landlord had opened the locked door and entered our bedroom without knocking or asking permission.
She appeared surprised to see us and said, “Rain, window!” I assume she was trying to tell us to close the window because of the rain. However, that does not change the fact that she entered an occupied, locked apartment without knocking or announcing herself.
For us, this was a serious privacy and security concern. If a guest has locked the door from the inside, they should reasonably expect that no one will enter without permission, especially without knocking first. The fact that she was able to open the door from outside while the key was still in the lock on the inside made the situation even more disturbing.
Whatever her reason may have been, entering a guest’s private space without knocking or permission is not acceptable. I believe future guests have a right to know about this experience before deciding whether to stay here.
