Villa Sorina is gorgeous - we loved the size of the property and the layout worked well for us as two families with varying age children. The proximity to the airport is brilliant (and despite being close you’re not in the flight path so airplane noise is very minimal) The location feels quiet whilst enjoying the villa, but is also great for exploring the island by car, plus smaller and larger supermarkets in easy reach.
We found the villa spotlessly clean and loved the outdoor jacuzzis and large terrace areas. The air conditioning is also excellent and easy to control in every room. There are nice shaded areas outside and the larger terrace upstairs gets the sunset which is beautiful. The cooking facilities were really good and we found it easy to cook for a large group in the upstairs apartment. The pool lights at night are great fun too!
Sofia was also a lovely host and it was helpful having her on site for the few times we needed her assistance!
The only negatives we found about the property were the pool size was a little small for our larger group with teenage children, the wasps are a real pest in the slightly more remote location as there’s no real way to control the nests in the surrounding trees, and in the smaller downstairs spa suite we found the drain smell from the integral shower in the bedroom could be quite strong at times.
My only other comment is that after a very delayed flight on the way out it might be nice to have the option of a welcome basket of groceries (just some water, milk, bread, butter/jam, maybe a bottle of wine!) as we had to immediately go out and find a supermarket at 11pm - however that’s very specific to our arrival and it absolutely didn’t impact our stay as we had a really wonderful time!
