It was comfortable and good value for money. We liked the thoughtful touches (complimentary water, muffins). We had a warm welcome - bar staff were friendly and helpful. A great base for exploring Deptford, Lewisham, and Greenwich, with a bus stop on the doorstep and within walking distance of local markets.
There was nothing we didn’t like.

The Brookmill had a nice, friendly feel. Check in was easy and the staff member was friendly and helpful. The room was just like the photo. It was very clean, tidy and well equipped. There was plenty of tea and coffee and the porridge for breakfast was a nice touch. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. The pub was busy on my first night as there was music on, the second night it was very quiet. There is a separate locked door to enter so you don't need to go through the bar. The location was perfect for me. Deptford Bridge station was about 5 mins and Greenwich was about a 20 minute walk. I enjoyed my stay and would absolutely stay again.

It was clean. Bed comfy.
We arrived around 8.30pm and the kitchen had shut due to a previous party and staff shortage. It would have been good to have been notified in advance so we could have made alternative plans. We asked if we could order Uber Eats (or similar) and was told yes. However, when it arrived, we were told we would have to eat in our room. We were two colleagues travelling together in separate rooms so it would not be appropriate to eat together. The bar and restaurant were empty. After some discussion we were allowed to eat downstairs but made to feel like we were going to get the staff in trouble and they were doing us an exceptional favour. We'd have happily eaten in the pub restaurant should it have been open.
