We stayed here for one night with my wife and our two dogs. The location and setting are fantastic, and it was exactly what we needed for a short overnight stay. There’s lots of potential here, and I get the impression that the place is very much a work in progress.
Unfortunately, the standard of the accommodation itself was a little disappointing. The property had quite a musty smell throughout, and the bathrooms need some attention before they feel particularly comfortable to use. The sofa was also quite heavily stained, possibly from previous guests’ dogs.
That said, I don’t want this review to come across as completely negative. The setting is convenient albeit quite industrial but the location as a quick stop off for us was great, and helpful for us travelling with dogs. I could see it being particularly well suited to a cycling holiday or as a place to stop for a night while passing through.
Overall, there’s definitely potential, but if you’re looking for somewhere to spend a longer stay and expect a high standard of accommodation, it may not be quite there yet.
For the price we paid I expected a higher standards.
