Very close to subway stations and the staff were so friendly and approachable. The room was exceptional, always clean, and large in space. Good value for money. Would absolutely come back here.

Many eateries & shopping around the hotel area

Bathroom has no privacy with transparent shower door facing a full length mirror & to the room itself. Not ideal to stay with friends or of the opposite gender. The Japanese breakfast is good & substantial but we are not used to eating rice/noodle in the morning. Hence hotel should provide some simple bread with butter & jam.

The operation is a mess. The check-in process felt cold. Don't really understand the point of using a self check-in machine. Poor use of staff members. There is a staff member who greets customers by the lift. In the meantime the only staff member at the spa/public bath area was clearly overworked. That staff member at the public bath was visibly annoyed and not friendly at all, which was understandable - why do you need a overly complicated check in machine when people just want to use the public bath and relax? The staff member was impatient and somehow angry with us when we pressed the wrong button, oblivious to the fact we were constantly distracted by a toddler. It completely ruined our mood, and we didn't bother going to the public bath for the rest of our stay. The breakfast was underwhelming. Very limited choices of food, below average quality. The staff in the restaurant were friendly. Unfortunately that didn't make up the disappointment from the food. We didn't need room cleaning and put our nicely tided trash bag outside the room. We expected some new towels, complimentary bottled water and a new trash bag to be provided. Nothing. This is not up to standard. When customers don't need room cleaning at least you can leave them a trash bag (or put a few spare ones in the room to begin with)? There was music being played at the long, long corridor from the room to the lifts. That was disturbing and could feel weird when at night. The music was not soothing or relaxing or classical, and the volume was too low to listen to but too loud to ignore. Some customers also didn't behave their best when in the public area. If you just need a hotel room at a good location to stay and are not planning to interact with anyone, this hotel is fine. Otherwise look for another one. By the way, it's not as close to the Umeda station as shown on the map, given the confusing pedestrian walks/footbridges outside Umeda.
