Modern and spacious property in a great location. Equipped with all the essentials. Smart TV. Nice clean carpets. Big mirrors. Good responsive host. We would definitely stay again.
The vanity sink drawers and drawer under the cooker needed a clean. A bread board would be nice and the kitchen knives could be sharper. There was also a lot of damp on ceilings which need to be addressed.

* The host was excellent at communicating with us, which we really appreciated.
* The house is spacious, has lovely furnishings, TVs in every room and a well-equipped kitchen.
* Good location for getting into town, although it is quite a steep walk.
* Parking was easy to find, which was a real bonus.
* The property has a lot of potential.
Damp: The damp issue really needs addressing, particularly in the upstairs bedrooms. We noticed it in the living room as soon as we arrived. Unfortunately, the damp wasn’t mentioned in the description or shown in the photos, and we found it quite off-putting.
Safety: An additional handrail on the staircase and one by the front door would improve safety.
Heating: This was probably our biggest disappointment. We understand the owner should have control, but guests should still have reasonable control over their comfort. The heating was PIN-restricted, meaning we had to message the host to have it switched on or up. We got the heating we wanted on day 3 of our stay. This isn’t something we would expect in a holiday property — thankfully, we had brought coats!
Backyard: This has potential but would benefit from some attention and better use of the space.
Mattresses: These were very soft. We appreciate mattress preference is subjective, but better-quality mattresses would improve comfort.
Welcome: At £140 a night, we expected a little more of a welcome. The two packs of ginger biscuits were a nice gesture, but a slightly more thoughtful welcome would have been appreciated.
Value: At £140 a night, we felt the property was somewhat overpriced given its current condition. With some investment and attention, it could become much better value.
Neighbours: This was absolutely not the host’s fault, but unfortunately the neighbours were extremely loud and kept us awake until around 2am on our first night, which did affect the start of our stay.
