Solar do Requeijo is a beautiful property, with impressive architecture and a very relaxing atmosphere.
What we appreciated most, however, was the way the hotel responded when we shared some concerns during our stay. The reaction was immediate and tangible, and we noticed a clear improvement in both the service and attention to guests.
A special thank you to Carla Meireles, who handled our feedback with great professionalism, courtesy and genuine attention, and to Kevin Brito, who was consistently kind, attentive and extremely helpful.
At check-out, the management personally apologised once again and made a very appreciated gesture towards us, which we had not requested. It showed a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction.
Problems can happen; what really makes the difference is how they are handled. In our case, the staff listened, reacted quickly and made a sincere effort to improve our experience. This deserves to be recognised.
During the first part of our three-night stay, some aspects of the service, housekeeping and wellness facilities did not fully meet the standards we expected from a five-star property.
However, after we brought these issues to the attention of the management, they were taken seriously and the situation improved considerably.

O Solar do Requeijão superou todas as expectativas! O espaço é extremamente acolhedor, limpo e decorado com muito bom gosto, combinando o charme tradicional com todo o conforto moderno. O atendimento foi o ponto alto, fomos recebidos com uma simpatia e generosidade extraordinárias, fazendo-nos sentir em casa desde o primeiro minuto.
A gastronomia é simplesmente divinal o pequeno-almoço com produtos locais frescos que são de chorar por mais. Uma envolvência tranquila, perfeita para descansar. Recomendo a 100%!
Gostámos de absolutamente tudo. A única parte má foi mesmo a hora de vir embora!

Aesthetics, very beautiful. Great location near the lake.
For a 5 star rated stay, the bathrooms should be better (bathtub seemed a bit outdated and not very romantic to be fair). The gym is very very poor and the massage room had a music that was not relaxing.
