I guess I was breathing hard by the time I got to the third floor, but I’m sure that is my own fault. The room was beautiful and comfortable. We were able to walk to the temple just kitty corner from the hotel. We had a great time!

Our suite accommodated our family of six nicely. My only complaint was the blow dryer bag had a steamer in it instead.

I loved that my whole family had such a comfortable bed to sleep in. The king sized bed in our room was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on while traveling. It was quiet and comfortable. The parking was fantastic.

A friend and I traveled to Navoo, Illinois, for an overnight quilt retreat. We stayed at the Navoo Temple House Hotel. My knee was bothering me a lot and they switched our room from third floor with stairs only access to the ground floor. Room was great, although couldn't find the remote for the first 2 hours. We finally found it behind the sofa.

The service was great and kept good communication. They reached out to make sure that plans had not changed (even though we were running late). We had to switch room accommodations as they were doing maintenance on the original reservation - but they reached out in plenty of time to discuss.

Quiet and clean.

My siblings and I stayed here for our sister’s wedding and there was plenty of room to go around. It was an easy check-in and the staff was friendly and kind. You could tell that the roll-away bed hadn’t been used for a while, but that was the only thing that wasn’t clean. A couple of the beds were pretty firm and didn’t make for the best sleep, but the other beds were very comfortable. We’d stay again. The television didn’t work, but we didn’t really have time to watch, so it wasn’t a big deal.

Great place to stay in Nauvoo for the Pumpkin Walk. Great area filled with history on both sides of the river.

No elevators. Carpet on stairs needs to be fixed as top stair is broken underneath

Nice historical hotel in a great location..

This town is apparently a Mecca of sorts for the Latter Day Saints. A ton of history in the town, and interesting for those that are not affiliated with the Mormons. The suite I had was amazing as far as comfort and cleanliness. The value to price ratio was incredible. 3 beds in a studio apartment style room with memory foam mattress toppers and walk in shower. my stay was memorable.

Town has potential but just not for me

We only got to be there from 6:00 in the evening until 9:30in the morning. We did enjoy the time. There was a family with small children and it didn't bother us that we could hear them with the echo. Some people might not like that.
The microwave is in the hall and each room didn't have one. No breakfast options, but we knew that going in.

When I first checked in, I was assigned a basement room, which is completely different than what I had booked. I had booked a Signature Suite with two bedrooms and temple view. The room they had assigned was cheaper than what I had paid on Expedia.
I stood my ground and showed the photo of what I had booked. Fortunately, Renae, who works in the shop where you check in, helped me through several long phone calls to the office. They eventually relented and gave us the room we were expecting.
I have to say… the view is amazing!!!

Loved the location...the TV connection was too slow to work and the walls are very thin so you can hear other people easily but you couldn't get a better location and the historical part of it is charming

It was good. There were a couple of flies that were a bit bothersome.

Staying at the Nauvoo Temple House has been a pleasure. It is reminiscent of the time period when the Saints were here in Nauvoo while it is clean and comfortable.

Nice location and very walkable. Older facilities but did the job.

It was really cool to sleep in such an historic hotel. It's very different from being in a modern hotel and being surrounded in history. The only negative thing I would say is that there was a water main break and people in the city were told to not drink the water. We didn't get any notice from the hotel but the pageant down the hill made the announcement instead.

Amazing view of the historic temple. Walked to so many historic sites and the pageant.
The shop was closing as we arrived, but the staff made a phone call and held for us what we needed.
We loved the amount of space and beds and views. Very clean bathroom.
We were nervous leaving things in our car over night- no issues.
Can’t beat the location.

Overall, it's a great value in Nauvoo and I don't know if there are any other hotels that can match it. Very clean. Very safe. Excellent parking. Friendly staff. Ridiculously good location. I really enjoyed everything about the hotel except that we were on the third floor with no elevator and the doors were not well sealed. Every time someone came into the hallway we could hear them clearly. Light from the hallway also came through the bottom and top of the doorway. With the exception of a couple of minor things, I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

The room was fine. We got in late at night, and you check in at a different hotel. Difficult to figure out where exactly we were supposed to be at our room location and no one there to ask. All the doors have about a 3 inch space at the bottom, you could hear others snoring. Made me self conscious because I’m a loud snorer. Location was great!

I would only recommend the Nauvoo Temple House Hotel for a short stay. It is a historic building with few updated amenities. The room was very clean and nicely furnished as a historic room. The stairs to the rooms are steep, there is no elevator. Not convenient to come and go. Something to keep in mind: there are not hotel staff in this building! The hotel is managed from a hotel up the street, the Nauvoo Family Hotel. This primarily became a problem when we were hit with a tornado (later classified as a derecho). When the warning and city sirens came on to immediately shelter, there was no one to give directions as to safe places to shelter during the storm. That was very unsettling for someone experiencing a tornado for the first time. The building survived but it was rocking! We ended up moving up the street because of the prolonged power outage with the storm and stayed at the Nauvoo Family Hotel, which I wished we would’ve stayed at for our entire visit. They have all the extra convenient amenities and also have a storm shelter. The staff there was very helpful and apologized there was no communication the day of the derecho.

Hotel was very clean and spacious. I have no complaints.

Probably would not recommend. When we arrived the staff was not ready to receive us. Check in was at another hotel and figuring out where to park and finding the room were not straightforward tasks. Staff provided not help. The room felt like a DIY basement apartment. Fit and finish was amateur at best. Beds were not comfortable. TV was useless because it only used Roku and the wifi was really slow. Overall we still had a great time, but if we go back we will not stay here and would not recommend to friends or family.
