The villa is in a great location with an absolutely amazing view of Lake Como. It was easy to find, very close to Torno and only about 10–15 minutes from Como depending on traffic. The house itself is beautiful and comfortable, with plenty of space for our group, and the parking area is very spacious. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and the location and views were definitely the highlights.
The main issue was the AC/cooling system. I specifically asked about it before arrival, but unfortunately it was not working when we checked in. The property manager did come over to try to fix it and arranged for a technician the following day, which we appreciated. It was eventually fixed, but the system itself is more of a cooling system than traditional AC and does not cool the house particularly well, so guests should be aware of that during warmer weather.
Communication between the property manager and owner could also be improved. During our stay, we were given only about five minutes’ notice that a real estate agent was coming to show the property because apparently the owner was not aware it was occupied. This was inconvenient and they were not very flexible about rescheduling. To their credit, they later offered us an additional night free because of the inconvenience, although we already had travel plans and could not use it.
A few areas of the house could also use some maintenance, and the kitchen could be better equipped with utensils and everyday cooking items. One other thing to be aware of is that the driveway is quite steep. There is plenty of parking once inside, but I would recommend a vehicle with decent ground clearance.
