We absolutely loved our stay at Tawillah! We booked it for a little mini-moon to relax and recharge after our wedding, and it was exactly what we needed. It felt so peaceful, private and secluded, while still being close to town and the beach. The perfect place to switch off and unwind after a very busy few weeks.

We had a small hiccup with the power, which meant a few of the utilities weren’t working temporarily, but the owner was very responsive and resolved the issue promptly. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend Tawillah.

Everything about this property is incredible. The view, the bed, the little hamper provided by the hosts, the fireplace, amenities.. EVERYTHING was amazing. I highly highly recommend staying here for a peaceful and relaxing stay away from the city.

This place is just amazing! Everything was perfect. The house is very stylish, well-equipped, spotless, and the view is to die for! It’s peaceful and quiet, yet just 10 minutes from shops, beaches, and restaurants. We loved every second of our stay and will definitely come back one day!

The location and views

This did not feel like good value for money. The accommodation didn’t feel like luxury to us, particularly when compared with hotels at a similar price point and other boutique accommodation we’ve stayed in. There were a number of issues that really detracted from the experience: • We had no hot water on the second day, so we couldn’t shower. • The bath plug/waste leaks, meaning the bath couldn’t be used properly. • There wasn’t enough firewood supplied for the two nights. • The blind is missing at the top highlight window, which feels unfinished and impacts privacy/light. • The welcome pack was very underwhelming for the price point. • The milk jug was mouldy. • The plants throughout were largely half-dead and looked quite unloved, which took away from the overall presentation. • The lighter provided didn’t work, so we had to go out and buy one ourselves. Products supplied in the bathroom were not premium when compared with other luxury accommodation. Individually, some of these are relatively minor, but collectively they made the stay feel far from the seamless, high-end experience we expected given the cost. The location and setting are genuinely beautiful, and we can see the potential for it to be an exceptional stay, but we feel the accommodation and attention to detail need to better match the price point.
