La Colombe Boutique Hotel

La Colombe exceeded every expectation! From the thoughtful renovation of the historic building and gorgeous lake views to the fluffiest pillows and duvet, every detail felt considered. The little self-catering kitchen, excellent coffee and even wine available for a small charge were wonderful touches. And the homemade, made-to-order breakfasts? Absolutely incredible! But the real highlight was meeting Aline, her husband Giovanni, and their wonderful team member Mia. They made my stay feel so personal, warm and welcoming. Here's just one example: I admired a little vase on my breakfast table and asked if I could purchase one. They contacted Katherine from Ravi Organics, who personally came to reception to hand-deliver a beautiful diffuser/vase. It's now sitting on my kitchen island in Dublin! I arrived on a business trip and left with new friends, wonderful memories and a little piece of La Colombe in my own home. I couldn't recommend this boutique hotel more highly. My only regret? Not having the chance to enjoy dinner in their beautiful restaurant. Next time, absolutely!

Wunderschöne Lage am See - Freundliche Rezeptionistin - schönes Zimmer mit Seesicht

Da die Heizung noch nicht eingeschaltet war (am 24.10 !), mussten wir eine Zusatz Heizung beantragen. Licht im Eingang funktionierte nicht. Eine Lampe im Wohnzimmer funktionierte auch nicht. Alles ist elektronisch aber nicht praktisch - Typisches Boutique Hotel welches alles auf Design macht, aber dafür unpraktisch ist. Das Bett war in einer Nische eingeklemmt und es blieben nur knapp 20 cm pro Seite zum ein-aussteigen. Frühstück war mittelmässig (Brot war innen noch gefroren). Der Kaffee war sehr gut.

Staff very welcoming and helpful on arrival and departure- held bags for extra time for us to explore, which was excellent. Only a little underwhelmed we didn’t have lake view room - had cranky across the way lady looking through the window most of the time, so had to keep blinds closed. Host has thought of most things for the room - good coffee machine, fridge, wifi etc. The location of this accom is out of a fairytale. Lots of food and drinking and lovely strolling along the water options. We would return here. Was a little magical!

This wasn’t a problem for us- but may be for some- the lift is quite small, and stairway winding- again we were ok to use the stairs, but some may not be.
