Located in Buffalo River, this lovely cabin for $231 per night is a great option for your next break. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the Ozark mountains at Deer Pond cabin near Ponca, Arkansas! Nearby Buffalo River National Park provides first-class hiking, kayaking, and other outdoor activities. Or, simply sit back and relax on the wrap-around porch with an amazing view of what Arkansas has to offer. Our cabin sits on nine acres of serenity overlooking the peaks and valleys of the Boston mountains. Our favorite local trails include Centerpoint to Goat Trail, Lost Valley, Hemmed in Hollow, Hawksbill Crag, and Glory Hole. There are dozens more in the area, so you'll never run out of trails to explore! The Buffalo National River flows free over swift running rapids and quiet pools for its 135-mile length. Spring and fall are the best times to canoe, kayak, or raft the Buffalo River as it is fed primarily by rainfall. Water levels may be less than ideal during the summertime on the Upper Buffalo. The Ponca low water bridge to Kyle's Landing is a popular ten-mile float and there are outfitters only a few minutes away to set you up on your adventure. Even if the river is too low for canoeing/kayaking, there are plenty of swimming holes on the Buffalo that you can enjoy. Steel Creek campground and the Ponca low water bridge are great places to visit to enjoy the river or take in the 200-foot bluffs. Need an adrenaline kick? Bring your mountain bike and take on the Ponca Downhill MTB trail that is just a couple minutes away (Buffalo Outdoor Center can provide rentals and shuttle services). Or, check out the Upper Buffalo River Bike trails which boasts 40-miles of singletrack ranging from easy to difficult. Additionally, Buffalo Outdoor Center also offers wilderness zipline tours for both young and old! Let our cabin be your base camp for all of your outdoor adventures! If nature isn't calling your name, you'll be quite content making our place your home away from home! Spend some time by the pond or just sit on the porch and breath in the fresh air. Note: Security cameras monitor the exterior (driveway/primary entrance, side yard/pond, and private drive) to ensure the safety of our property. There are no interior cameras or sound recording devices active.

My girlfiends and I stayed at Deer Pond for 5 days and hated to leave! Its located on acreage so neighbors are not close by. A beautiful setting to watch nature and enjoy the summer breeze on the front porch! Its close to hiking trails and the Buffalo River. The home is very clean and has all the necessities. It has a welcoming feel that makes staying here so enjoyable you wont want to leave! The hosts are readily available to take care of questions or concerns.

We enjoyed every second of our mini vacation. The hosts were nothing but wonderful. The cabin was wonderful. From the Alexa designed cabin to the pond and fire pit… we will be back!!!

This property is comfortable, well-appointed, and immaculate! The setting is peaceful and serene- you could sit on the front porch and soak in the sights and sounds for hours. The hosts were hospitable and easily accessible. We didn’t want for a thing and didn’t want to leave!

If you are searching for a quiet getaway, look no further. I cannot attest to the noise level in the summer as it the property is located near a tourist area but the off-season was amazing. Beautiful views, peace and quiet and centrally located to the NW Arkansas experience.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this spacious cabin. The cabin was easy to find and had a beautiful view. We saw deer in the yard every morning. The owners responded quickly to my questions and the check in/check out process was easy. We'd love to stay here again!

Wonderful location, secluded, quiet, and peaceful, with an amazing view from the front porch. Amenities were as expected. The temps were cool while we were there and the propane heaters kept the cabin nice and cozy. The bed was comfortable. We used the propane grill twice and it worked well. We had to wash of few of the pans and dishes before we used them but no big deal. I met Mike, who owns the goats and his dog Sasha, and lives at the end of the gravel road. He was pleasure to talk to and he told us a little about the history of the property. Only negative experience was when we got to the cabin the first night about 8 PM, I had failed (my fault) to write down the unlock code and Wi-Fi access code, and I had no service on my Verizon phone, so we had to drive the 5 miles back down to the Buffalo Outdoor Center in Ponca to get on their free WiFi to pull up the Vrbo app and get the unlock code and Wi-Fi access code. This should probably highlighted during the reservation process so people know that they need to have the access codes written down prior to arriving because cell phone access is very limited in these mountains. Once we got in the cabin and got logged on to the Wifi, there were no further issues with access. Overall, a very good experience and I would stay at this cabin again.

The cabin was very cozy, comfortable, clean and charmingly decorated! The kitchen and cabin were well stocked. The location was perfect…close to great hiking and with a beautiful view to relax with in the evening! A very private and relaxing setting. The owners were friendly and very prompt in their communications. We highly recommend this property and hope to return in the future!

Deer Pond Cabin was the perfect stay for my weekend hiking trip. The cabin itself was clean and cozy, and it’s location provided quick access to all the hiking trails nearby. We loved coming back to the cabin to relax after a long day of exploring the Ozarks, and the cabin was stocked with everything we could need. The view from the cabin is absolutely lovely, and we greatly enjoyed watching the hummingbirds from the patio during the day and stargazing at night. John and Mary were exceptional hosts. They provided all the information we needed ahead of time to make our trip as seamless as possible. Their friendliness and warmth really made the cabin feel like home for our stay. They were also quick to respond to any messages or questions before and during our stay. Deer Pond Cabin is definitely a treasure.
