The breakfast is always a surprise in the morning and if you are hungry the omicho market is across the road and all the other major attractions not that far (Higashi,kazuemachi,castle an Kenroku-en, 20 minutes walk or bus to nishi Chaya, myouryuji , kawanachi restaurants area). I suggest making a stop to the tourist information center on the main road when you arrive to get some event recommendations. The staff is nice and always present. Will 100% be back when in Kanazawa.

Breakfast in hotel restaurant was superb, beautifully presented and efficiently served in tranquil surroundings. Room lovely, superb bathroom, beds and bedding very comfortable. Public hot bath was popular, discreet and relaxing. Facilities in room excellent, including PJs, freshly laundered daily. Overall the hotel has some lovely decorative touches - fresh flowers, pottery, sculptures and artefacts - all thoughtfully displayed and lit to good effect, all much appreciated. Just across from the Omichi market, which is a fascinating place selling fresh fish and vegetables, also numerous eateries.
Restaurant was closed in the evening for all 3 nights of our stay, which was a pity, as we would have loved to try it.

The staff greeted you every time you passed by. The option to make your own fragrance sack or origami was a nice surprise.

Great location literally opposite Omicho market, rooms were quiet and onsen was a bonus.
Rooms need a proper deep clean! Housekeeping approach felt lazy under the guise of being environmentally friendly. But the worst thing was the layout of the room (deluxe corner king). Despite being the biggest room we stayed in during our trip to Japan, the size and position of the tv and the raised platform meant there was literally no space in the room to even open a suitcase, place any items for use or walk around without stubbing your toe on something. Literally the worst designed hotel room I’ve ever stayed in.
