We had the best stay at Happy Shacks. The staff were fantastic. So friendly and helpful. The food was brilliant. We ate mainly vegetarian Indian and it was fantastic. The position is stunning, right on a quieter stretch of the beach and the facilities were perfect for a budget stay.

This family-run accommodation has a laid back vibe, far enough away from the overcrowded beaches north and south of it. The staff were wonderful and the food is quite good and reasonably priced. It’s nice there are palapa lounges on the beach to relax, and the beach is kept quite clean. There are lifeguards, which is reassuring as the rip tide can be fierce at times. We enjoyed our stay here.
The rooms are rather basic. Only an overhead light, one small night table, and a wet bath. It is quite funky and dated, but okay for a couple days stay.

Small rooms, hard mattresses, blanket without a sheet, no intercom, staff not trained to smile and be welcoming.
