I liked the proximity to the airport so we didn't have to be up very early to get to the airport.
We had a room on the first floor in a wing which could only be accessed by three steps down after coming out of the lift. My husband struggled with the suitcases as I cannot lift anything.
It was nice to have air conditioning but it was either on or off and there was no temperature adjustment - we had it turned off during the night otherwise we would have been too cold. The night receptionist came up to look but just stated that the units were linked and operated together with respect to the temperature.
I also managed to flood the bathroom when having my shower as the hand held unit sprayed everywhere.
Maybe we were just unlucky with our room allocation ...

We LOVE this hotel, The staff are so kind and special. The room had a big balcony which is a dream for plane spotting.

One of the best places we've stayed in Madeira. We took a wrong turning and got a bit lost but it was okay once we got there. The underground parking was very convenient. The breakfast is good, the staff were very helpful and pleasant. Room was good.
