Wow! What a great place. Visually appealing, Very friendly and helpful team. On-site parking. Great breakfast buffet. A comfortable bar area. A relaxing outdoor garden area. Well-appointed rooms. A turn-down service! Small but very nice spa/sauna. The list goes on. I expect I've missed something. Not sure why it's rated a three-star. Easily the match of four-star places I've stayed in.
I'd stay again, and I highly recommend
I've stayed in a lot of wonderful hotels all around the world over many years and they all have a 'worst' room. This place has its worst rooms too, and I think I got one of them. If you look at the fire-escape plan in the hall, you can judge your room layout/size compared to others. So both in absolute terms and in comparison, it was small and awkwardly laid out. I suspect there are others in similar locations on each floor. It happens. I was initially unhappy about this, especially since I was staying for over a week - but at the end of the day, I wasn't going to be sitting in my room all day, and when I balanced this against all the positives of this place, it became less and less of an issue for me. The point being, this wonderful place does have some extra-small (even for Europe) and oddly laid-out rooms. So if this is important for you, you might like to ask about when you book.
