Pretty much the perfect location, right on the boundary where districts 5,6 and 7 meet. Pretty much everything worth seeing is walkable, and you're across the street from the main transport nexus if you want to go a bit further.
Entry to the apartment was a little complicated. The elevator was out of service so I had to climb stairs, then I identified the wrong door and spent a while trying to open somebody else's key safe before realising my mistake.

The apartment was so close to all kind of public transport, there was the elevator in the building, in the apartment there was all the essential equipment for your staying.
The area is really noisy but closing the window you don’t hear much, quite small for 4 people, there wasn’t a nice window in the bathroom, there wasn’t paper in the kitchen. But this are just some details that won’t affect your trip.

The location is excellent, right in the heart of Budapest, within walking distance of many attractions, restaurants, and shops. The apartment itself is spacious, practical, and could have a lot of potential.
The biggest problem was the bed. It made an incredibly loud creaking noise with even the slightest movement. Every time one of us turned over or changed sleeping positions, the noise would wake us up. It was so bad that I actually had to remove the mattress from the bed and put it directly on the floor just to be able to sleep. I have stayed in many hotels and apartments, and I have never experienced anything like this.
The pillows and blankets were also extremely poor quality. The pillows weren’t even proper sleeping pillows, but cheap, flat cushions more suitable for a sofa. They provided absolutely no comfort or support. The blankets were also very cheap and small, only suitable for one person each, with no proper double-sized blanket for two guests. These are basic necessities, not luxury features. For €20–30, the host could easily provide decent bedding and significantly improve guests’ comfort.
Another HUGE issue was the noise, especially between 3:00 AM and 6:30 AM. There are restaurants and kebab shops directly below the building that remain open until around 6:00 AM. During these hours, people coming from parties and nightlife gather outside to eat, talk loudly, and shout. The street becomes extremely noisy, and sleeping is almost impossible. We also experienced very loud noise from the upstairs neighbors, including a party that continued until approximately 3:30 AM.
To make matters worse, the blinds were broken and couldn’t be lowered, while the curtains didn’t close properly or block out the light. This meant we couldn’t properly darken the bedroom, and the noise from outside was even more disturbing. Between the street noise, the upstairs neighbors, the broken blinds, and the incredibly noisy bed, getting a decent night’s sleep was practically impossible.
What makes this particularly frustrating is that most of the problems inside the apartment could be fixed with very little investment.
