Elegant apartment located in Via dei Calzaiuoli, one of the most important streets in the historic center of Florence. The house is located in a very central position a few meters from the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi. Giotto Elegant is located on the fourth floor (with elevator) of a beautiful historic building with a bright living area with kitchen, two double bedrooms and two bathrooms (one of which is complete with shower). Recently completely renovated, the apartment can accommodate up to a maximum of 6 guests (there are two double beds and a double sofa bed) and has been equipped with everything necessary to guarantee a comfortable stay in Florence. Here you will have air conditioning, independent heating and everything you need for cooking.

My family and I just returned from 12 days in Italy (4 days here in Florence). What a wonderful flat! Admittedly, we did not cook because the food in Florence is incredible, but the stay was very comfortable! The location of this flat is unbeatable-in the heart of the old city steps from the Duomo and shops. The flat is surprisingly quiet since it sits just above the bustling part of the city. The neighborhood is so safe with plenty of gelato and coffee shops nearby. We appreciated having a lift to get us to the 4th floor after long days of walking the museums and city streets. They allowed an early check-in for us (as available), and provided us extra towels when we reached out to the host. Communication was responsive and helpful. Highly recommend this flat. We are a family of four (2 older teenage daughters) and there was plenty of space for us for our stay. Clean, safe, ideally located--recommend!

Great location but difficult to find. I was unaware the building has two numbers associated with it and when I finally spoke with someone I was told the location was a few blocks away. I still couldn't locate the apartment so I called again and i was told it was the orginally place I found. It may not have been as bad if it wasnt raining while dealing with luggage and my parents who are in their 70's. The location directions should include nearby businesses or hotels.
However, once we finally got into the apartment everything was great. And of course the location was great.

The positives: great size, comfortable appartment in a sensational position.
The negatives: communication with owner and check in process was poor at best. Despite numerous rounds of communication with the owner regarding checking, even right up to the morning prior of our arrival at the confirmed time, we arrived to find the apartment still in the process of being cleaned and we were told could we go for a coffee for an hour and come back. We couldn’t do this as we had to change immediately for an event, where we were then bundled into one of the bedrooms that were ready to get changed. By the time we came out the cleaners had gone, taking one of the set of keys with them. We arrived home after our event and had to make up the other bed and find the linen/blanket. We tried numerous times to get the second set of keys from the owner but never received them. In fact the customer service was poor. There was no nowhere you could hang shirts or suits, suit jackets.

What a wonderful property in a prime location. The property is located within walking distance of all Florence has to offer. The check I process was a breeze and the owners made sure that your had a wonderful stay. If you’re ever in Florence, you’d be hard pressed to find a better option than this!

Overall, this apartment was exactly what we needed. There were two things why this did not receive a 5 star. First, our check in time was at 2pm and originally I said we would arrive around 3. When I realized we were going to be there closer to 2:30 and reached out I received no response. Then when I told them we were there around 2:35 I received a text back saying “I’m busy.” This was aggravating as the check in time was 2pm and we should have had access by that time. When the person finally arrived he was very rude and short with us. The second reason it didn’t get a 5 star is because of the water pressure. There was only 1 shower in the place and the pressure was non existent by the time the fourth person went to take a shower. Besides these two things that apartment was great and the AC was a nice bonus.

We found this to be a great place for us. Bright, clean, nice bathroom, spacious for two. We ate out so no problem with cooking. Loved the location! During the day lots of people passing; at night it quieted down and we could stroll to the Duomo. Loved hearing the bells chime. Thank you!

Dirty, there was a bandaid left on the window in the bathroom, no warm water on the first full day there. The maintenance guy I was chatting with on WhatsApp explained that the water heater was shared with the other apartments on that floor. Location was fine.

Very nice apartment with lovely bathroom and beds. The kitchen, however, was the bare minimum. The apartment is not set up for actual cooking. If that’s not important to you, this apartment is fine. My children have special dietary needs and I was unable to prepare meals in this kitchen. The only other complaint was in regards to the pillows. It sounds silly, but a pillow can make or break a good night’s sleep. The pillows were the cheapest possible. I did contact the host but nothing was done to make our stay more comfortable.

We had the most wonderful stay! The apartment is clean, central and air conditioning works perfectly. Everyone was easy to get in touch with and so helpful. Would definitely recommend to stay!

The location of this property couldn’t have been better, and it was just as described. It was easy to communicate with property manager which was good because we initially had a hard time finding it. They were quick to supply some missing elements like wine glasses and graciously brought an iron too. It is an updated property with great AC! It would have been nice to have some sort of armoire or even hooks on the wall to hang some cloths, but otherwise a great property that I would recommend.

We had a wonderful stay in Florence, the apartment was nice and clean. Central location but very busy crowded street. Loud music from nearby club or apartment so could not keep windows open at night. Cooking was hard. Many basic kitchen tools needed not available. Pots also not compatible with stovetop, needed diffuser which was not working and wasn’t replaced until third day of our stay. The number provided days before for check-in did not respond to calls or texts upon arrival. Waited for a while in heat until someone finally reached out. Communication after stay was very poor. We left our daughters sneakers at the apartment. We realized it after we checked into next apartment on our trip that night. Contact number we had would not respond. We were given an alternate number. We called and messaged numerous times, all numbers provided, making inquiries. We either received no response at all or were told they would get back to us after they checked with cleaners, but no one ever followed up. Days and many messages later, someone got back to us, checked with cleaners, and followed up. We were told cleaners didn’t have them, cleaners were professionals, and if we left the item at the apartment cleaners they would have turned them in. Insinuating we didn’t leave them. We detailed exactly where we left them, under which bed & where, asked someone double check maybe cleaners not see them. They said current guest would check. We never heard anything back from property owner.

As a family we absolutely loved this apartment. Its location makes it an excellent point to explore the beautiful city of Florence.
A stones throw from the main Duomo (the bell tower can be seen from the window) you can’t really get any more central. From the quite and peaceful apartment you walk out onto the streets of Florence and straight into the hustle and bustle and can begin exploring all Florence has to offer.
The apartment was well equipped and comfortable. There is one bathroom for the two bedrooms ambit an en-suite toilet in the second bedroom. It was clean and all the necessities were provided. The shower was powerful and the towels soft and luxurious.
We did not use the kitchen area but there is enough in the apartment to make a small meal or have breakfast if you so wish. City supermarkets are close by.
The decor is stunning and the high wooden ceilings are lovely.
Checking in was easy and O who met us at the apartment was attentive and made sure we were settled and secure before leaving. He was so friendly and a real credit to the owners.

My family stayed here for 3 nights and loved the space, location, and view of the Bell Tower from the window! After the 1st night, we were able to easily contact the hosts and request sheets for the pull-out bed so my kids could have more space. Everything is in walking distance. The ancient key to get in the front door gave us some trouble and stress but what a beautiful apartment.

Location and apt is in a great area. Hard to get Uber’s to pick up at apt since it’s in the middle of everything. The cons- host was 35 minutes late checking us in after I texted him 20 minutes out as requested. Air conditioning wasn’t on took awhile for it to kick in. At 10pm when we rolled out sofa bed- no sheets or pillow cases. Since it was late I contacted host next day said since was 4 travelers they just prepared two beds if we wanted to use the sofa he would send someone over for a cost of 15 euros. I told him nevermind I didn’t want to pay more and he should change the listing as there is a charge to use sofa. We had three adults that couldn’t share beds.. no response from host after I said it was poor business. We returned to the apt that night and there wasn’t any hot water that night or the next morning. Worked great until we complained of no sheets. I didn’t bother calling them again. Great location but deceptive listing. Three beds should mean three beds. Other places we stayed in Italy were great. Be careful here.

The kitchen had the basics, & there was a hairdryer and extra toilet paper in the bathrooms (not always the case!). We were each given a hand towel and large towel (no washcloths anywhere in Italy). There were no closets and storage was limited, but we lived out of our suitcases anyway since our visit was only for 4 days. There were hooks to hang our jackets, bags, umbrellas, etc by the door. Building was well maintained and shared by a hotel (Hotel Maxim, which we used to navigate to the apartment on Google maps). Area was nice— in the shopping district with gelato and coffee shops steps away, convenient but not jam packed with tourists.

Our college sophomore did second semester in Florence and we decided to join her when it ended. The accommodations were tidy, quiet and central to everything. The host was great at communicating with us from start to finish. It was nice to have access to a kitchenette and common sitting area. It worked out perfectly for the four of us.

We loved our stay at Giotto Elegant. The apartment was the perfect size for our family of five - two 9 yo daughters sharing the double bed and our 11 yo son on the pull out sofa bed. The location could not have been better for our four-day stay, one block from the Duomo and right in the midst of all the action. The property manager was in good communication and helped us quickly when a couple issues came up like the shower not draining and one night of no hot water. We were there to enjoy the food of Florence which worked out well since the kitchen was bare bones in equipment and we were never able to figure out how to work the stove. The check in process was a bit confusing since the numbers we were told to call didn’t lead us directly to the check in person but everyone was quick to respond when we did find the right person. Overall, it was a great stay and we would recommend to anyone looking for no-frills lodging in the heart of the city.

Fabulous location, a short block to the Duomo, property is great & as described. There is an elevator/lift but it is very small to transport to the 4th floor. Washcloths (for shower) not provided but this may be an Italian thing, we didn't have them in our other 2 rentals either.

Fabulous location, it is located steps from the Duomo. Once you step out there to where you are in the heart of Florence. The only drawback to this apartment, was the lack of kitchen conviences that go along with renting an apartment. This wasn’t a dealbreaker, but it would be nice to have coffee filters and other essentials.

Very nice property, great location in the center of Florence
We really enjoyed our stay at this property in Florence. The apartment is located in the center of Florence between the Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio. The apartment is smaller than appeared in the photos but still comfortable. A bit more natural light would have made it better but overall it was very good. The AC worked very well and that was much appreciated given the temperuature in Florence during our stay.

Great location in Florence
The instant you step out of the residence you are on the main thoroughfare between the Duomo and the Plaza Vecchio. Instant immersion into Florence and a great time saver when getting around the city sites. The apartment is on the 4th floor (with a lift) so you can easily move between the apartment and the activities below.
The apartment has two separate sleeping areas and a bedroom and 1/2 bath on the top floor, which was good. If it had its own shower it would have been ideal. The main floor living space and bedroom with full bath were reasonable, comfortable spaces.
