The host contacted me by text and email on the lead up to the stay. The accommodation is quant, rustic and full of character and is ideally set in the location of the Quantocks Hills and as we found out pretty central to everything we had planned to do. The house is warm but you will need to make sure you pull the curtains to where the main doors are located. Both me and the wife are people of a certain age and knees and joints are not great but we coped with all the changes of levels. There is an option for a Sofa Bed in one of the two lounges and it was clearly mentioned in the welcome letter that they provided via email and at the accommodations. The Kitchen is spacious and well equipped for a holiday let. Plenty of detergents and cleaning products. Teas and Coffee in abundance and a welcoming bottle of milk on arrival so immediately the chance to have a drink and complementary Chocolate Eclair on arrival. Both reception rooms are spacious, roomy and also somehow cosy. The log burner is a lovely bonus. Central heating worked well. Bedroom are spacious and comfortable. Accessed by a tight staircase with a period featured agricultural style door. The garden is on a hill and with a lovely patioed area which then leads up to a separate parking area plus in a different direction up more steps to a seat and table. Our first full day was ended with a drink and over looking the amazing views with a sensational sunset. The host has seemed to have thought off everything. A large utility with a washing machine, hoover, mops and buckets. It's the little features like providing a Grabber and step with support railing to assist accessing the shower. A lovely pub a couple hundred yards away which did lovely food. Leaflets and guides to local attractions. To sum up an amazing cosy and rustic spacious property in a stunning location.
If you are over 6ft then be prepared to duck going through doors. No upstairs toilet and with a tight set of stairs to negotiate at night.

Location was great, being right on the Quantocks which enabled easy access to some stunning walks. Property itself was great - a real 'home from home' - comfortable, cosy, well appointed, characterful, charming and a pleasure to stay in. We enjoyed living in the space very much. The field above provided us with the most beautiful sunsets and views. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Lovely period cottage, delightful and more spacious than expected.
Two reception rooms, one with sofa-bed and dining table. The other with tv and comfortable sofas. Smart TV so was able to sign into Netflix account.
Kitchen had everything you could possibly need, plus bonus of a freezer and washing machine in utility area.
Very clean and comfortable. Views from top garden stunning- we were blessed with great weather.
No complaints at all. Only possible improvement would be a parasol/ umbrella for garden but that's being very picky.

Lovely cottage, great location, clean, but not spotless, comfortable beds, great views if your young and fit. Great pub within walking distance called the Windmill, great staff, lovely food and dog friendly. Lots of beaches to visit, but we found Minehead and Dunster beach the best and not far away from accommodation. You can drive or catch bus to most of the locations, there's also Dunster castle well worth a visit. At the top of the lane there are some lovely walks, but most of the uphill.
We were warned about the steep stairs up to bedrooms, but not the 26 concrete steps to the middle and top garden which are slippy when wet. Could not get tv to work on first night so we called the housekeeper as instructed, but she did not answer, so left a msg which she did not respond to either. The heating is on a timer, but not informed what times it is supposed to come on, so had to keep pressing the advance button. Was given the wrong WI-FI password, but we found the correct one on back of box. Parking was awful, carport only suitable for small car and parking at middle garden very tight to get in and out onto busy narrow lane. Shower was good, but drain kept blocking and overflowing. Cake and milk was a nice touch, but milk out of date, the day we arrived. Too warm in bedrooms even with windows open, but very draughty downstairs due to kitchen radiator not working. The garden furniture very tired and old. This property is not suitable for the old or young or anyone with any mobility issues.
