Very helpful and friendly staff. The bunkhouse it's self was fine for the money, very basic as you would expect. But It was warm, clean and actually quite cosy to be honest.
The location was ideal for us due to hiking up Blencathra, the trail started literally behind the pub!
I'm not sure if the gravel car park at the side belongs to the White Horse or not but it's in need of some tlc. There's some massive pot holes and if you drive a low vehicle like myself it's easy to cause some damage if your not extremely careful.

The bunks are quite low so you can't sit up.

Very nice location, it’s definitely worth it for one night stop and for hiking Blencathra, as it’s situated just at the bottom of the mountain.
Staff unavailable untill 11 am and in the evening.
Few spiders in the room 😆
It would be amazing if they could make it with a little bit more cleaning.
