Near a beach but awful breakfast
It was near the beach and the room was cosy.
My stay included breakfast but I was told it was not..I had to show my booking confirmation several times. When I did get it, it was very disappointing (a couple if bread rolls, jam and instant coffee). There were also lots of power cuts meaning the fan and wifi would not work and this could last hours. There was not much atmosphere here - it is basically an enclosed space with some lodges and nothing much to do or see.

Very poor
The host was a really nice man with a freindly smile. The garden had a few nice places to chill out in the shade or the sun.
Moral of this story is don't jump at promotions, I selected to stay here as this property offered a free upgrade for one of the nicer double rooms for the price of a standard one, when I arrived I was put in the single room, this was made of bamboo as opposed to the stone ones across the garden. This room was not just an oven but also a free for all for the mosquitos, you could also here every breath and other bodily movements of the neighbours either side. The breakfast was awkward and basic, he would call you over for breakfast and present you with a mug of hot water and some decaf instant coffee (nothing else) you would be presented with a stale bit of bread and some jam that was definitely laid out for the someone the previous morning, I appreciate the gesture but considering you get 8 of these buns at a bakery for one soles I would of preferred to have not anticipated any breakfast at all. The shower will give you an electric shock. You have to turn on the water, then flick a power switch, if you touch the shower head in any way or try to adjust it will give you an electrulic shock, if you are around 6 foot like and do not crouch to get in the shower you will get an electric shock with your head (I'm not kidding). When I came to pay, the booking total was in dollars so he gave himself a generous commission to convert to soles at this point one can only laugh. There are soo many beautiful places to stay around mancora don't sell yourself out by choosing to stay here.

Wonderful!!
We had a wonderful stay at AquamarInn. It has a very peaceful, beautiful garden setting, in which we enjoyed reading and chatting. The room was very pretty and clean, with lodge-like decor. The hosts were helpful and had adorable dogs and a baby who didn't make any noise but was adorable to watch in the courtyard. We were very close to Playa del amor (which was our favorite beach, clean with no rocks), and a short walk to the center of town. We would definitely stay here again!!
The breakfast options were a little limited (bread and jam).

Cozy Quiet & Peaceful Stay
The staff are very friendly, it’s owned by a family that want their guest to be comfortable. The kitchen is big with a lot of equipment. It’s very cozy and beautiful with the feeling of being safe.
The water pressure is very low but didn’t affect the trip. The location is a bit always but again did t affect our stay at all. The property is gorgeous it makes up for it.

Offered a different room and overcharged for the accomodation and transport upon check out
Relatively cheap accomodation (97 soles) for dates close to New Year's, located in a quiet area and 5-10min walking distance from a quiet beach at the edge of the village of Mancora. There is a shared kitchen which a pan, pots, cutlery, fridge and freezer.
We couldn't check in at 13.00 because the previous tenants hadn't left the room yet, so we were told we would have to wait. My wife needed to use the toilet during this time, but were told there is no toilet available (although it was already past our check-in time). Since the previous tenants were taking longer than expected, at 13.20 we were offered a different room than the one we had booked, one that had an external bathroom and it was built using wood and reeds. The one we had originally booked was in a stone building opposite ours which seemed more modern and had a private seating area outside. On the bright side, our new room had a double bed instead of two singles. Unfortunately, the room we were allocated didn't have proper glass windows, but only a mesh and wooden blinds. This means there is no noise insulation and it feels less private because you can hear people who are sat in the garden. We also had some difficulty sleeping because we could hear a lot of wind throughout the night inside the room due to the lack of soundproofing. You can hear people in the bathroom from the bedroom. The toilet in the external bathroom has a flush with very low water pressure. You have to use it 3-4 times until it disposes of waste properly. We had to keep going back to flush every few minutes. The shower in the external bathroom has an electric heating system which if you use incorrectly you get a small electric shock. Both myself and my wife received a small shock because we forgot to turn off the electric switch before turning off the water. This feels a bit dangerous to have in a hostel. We were supposed to pay 24.30USD, which the manager converted to 97 soles. However, when I checked the conversion online shortly after, I found this should have been 92 soles, so we were overcharged by 5 soles. It felt awkward to go back and complain so I didn't.

Very good
Nice big clean rooms and really close to the beach. The owners are lovely and friendly. Good sized kitchen with everything you need. It is a 15 minute walk at least to the main strip of restaurants.
there is a code to enter the property, we returned one night and some other guest had locked the door meaning the code didn’t work. Luckily enough another guest was able to let us in otherwise we would have been locked out all night.
