We had a wonderful stay at Basqal Resort & Spa. A special mention goes to Seymur from guest relations, who welcomed us warmly on arrival, took the time to explain how everything at the resort works, and sent a lovely welcome set to our room. He stayed in touch throughout our stay in case we needed anything at all. It is not something you expect, and it made us feel genuinely welcome.
The sauna was excellent, properly hot at 99 degrees, which is rare to find. Everything was spotlessly clean, breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, and the mattresses were genuinely comfortable, which made for great sleep after long days of driving.
Highly recommended if you are travelling through the Ismayilli region.

We had a lovely stay at this family-friendly hotel. The service was excellent, and special thanks go to our personal assistant, Elmi Bey, for making our holiday even more memorable.
The food was outstanding, and our room was spotless, exactly as shown in the photos, with a beautiful view.
The main area for improvement is the pool. The chlorine smell was strong, and better monitoring is needed to prevent adults from using the children’s pool.

The staff didn’t speak English largely.
They didn’t get our requests for the included hamam etc. and left us waiting.
