Situated in West Pennington, this attractive house for $900 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. The Diamond Spur Lodge is a brand new spectacular vacation home with 4 bedrooms/ 2 baths on the main level and three more queen sized beds and another full bath in the extended loft. It is located on the property of the Double Diamond Ranch, LLC where we raise quarter horses and our horses love the attention from our guests. The lodge is designed to be handicap accessible with one ADA handicap friendly bathroom. The fully furnished home is complete with a gourmet kitchen, satellite tv, wifi, fireplace, central air conditioning, washer/dryer, and beautiful views of the Black Hills and the two Creeks on the property. Outside there is a private hot tub, gas grill and oversized propane fire pit along with a volleyball net, corn hole, and other games. The Double Diamond Ranch horses come up to the fence that borders the Diamond Spur Lodge so its easy to get your "horse fix" while staying at the Lodge. There is also lots of space for hiking and taking walks on the property or trying your luck at fishing in Spring Creek. We are also just 1 mile from Sheridan Lake which has a great swimming beach. This lodge is a Blue Ribbon Property. It is located in the center of the Black Hills or as the locals call it, the "Heart of the Hills". Great Location to take in all the attractions during the day and be back to relax in the evening. The Diamond Spur Lodge was a beautiful and well accommodating place to stay for our group to stay. The outside view was spectacular during the day as well as in the evening. The outside fireplace worked great and it was wonderful to use in the evening which provide lots of seating for all to sit around it.The hot tube was wonderful and very well keeped.The lodge had separate towels for the hot tub which their location was easiy seen. We appreciated to know the Lee Ann had recently replaced the water and made sure the Ph levels were where they needed to be. The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed to prepare our daily meals. All guest thought the beds were very comfortable and that there was a great supply of towels. We definely will be book again. Everyone from our group commented that it was the nicest VRBO that they had stayed at.

Beautiful cabin at a convenient location. Spacious cabin for 13 people to stay and play. The outdoor space was our favorite. Big covered patio with hot tub. Perfect for the cool mornings and evenings. The kitchen was a great space for many delicious meals.

10 of our Extended Family stayed at Diamond Spur Lodge. It was very comfortable, quiet, and well appointed. We loved visiting the horses and fishing in the creek. It was a great central location for everything we wanted to do. You should be aware that the WiFi connection is weak and not reliable. This was good for the children to "unplug" and enjoy outdoors, but frustrating for adults looking for tourist or other information. Overall, we give it 5 stars and would recommend it to all.

This was the perfect home for a family vacation. We had plenty of space and the house is conveniently located to all the local attractions. The beds were comfortable, we had plenty of towels and the kitchen is well thought out with anything you might need to prepare meals. The fire pit and hot tub were both very nice to take advantage of in the evenings. We would love to come back! Thank you for an amazing place to stay.

Wow! The Diamond Spur was absolutely amazing! We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on our vacation to South Dakota! The location was perfect and the views were spectacular. We had 8 adults and 5 children. We never felt crowded as there was definitely space for everyone! The large gathering room, grand kitchen, open loft, spacious lawn, and all of the "extras" in and out of the house were appreciated. LeeAnn was a wonderful hostess and put a lot of thought into the "little things." If we are ever back, we will definitely be looking into renting from Double Diamond again!

We had a wonderful stay at the lodge. Beautifully decorated! There were 4 bedrooms for the adults and a loft with 4 beds, couch and table/chairs to play games for our grandchildren. The large kitchen is well equiped and works great for feeding a large family. We sat on the huge back porch, sat around the fire pit, used the hot tub and played corn hole the evening. The owners horses greeted us everyday in the back fenced yard. We were close to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Needles Hwy, and Custer State Park. We found a local wrangler and went horseback riding. We also rented a 4 person side by side and went trail riding so there is a lot to do in the area. We had a great time and I would highly recommend this property.

Diamond Spur Lodge is an expansive new home that is well appointed. The property is perfect for large families or groups. We loved seeing the mountains and horses, and the proximity to Hill City, Key Stone, Mnt. Rushmore, Lake Pactola, and Rapid City. Ms. Lee Ann was welcoming and responsive! There is very little internet coverage, so this property would not be a place to ‘work from home’ or study. Plan to do all your online searches for travel in town when you’re out, or go old school and work off of brochures and paper maps. :)

13 people. Grandparents, children, spouses, grandchildren- this property was comfortable, modern in a good lodge/ranch way and had every amenity that we needed. If we visited that area again, we’d hope to stay there.

We had the best weekend and most enjoyable stay. Everything from the moment we walked in was clean, well thought out and at our fingertips. The property is stunning, with horses, a river, firepit, hot tub - so much to do. We enjoyed corn hole on the lawn, sitting outside while we grilled and exploring the area. Great hosts. Don't think twice if you're looking for a bit of luxury on your SD trip! Thanks so much!

This house was perfect for our 4 day getaway to the Mount Rushmore area. It is centrally located to the major sites (Mount Rushmore, Crazyhorse, Custer Park, and Sylvan Lake) and is very well equipped as a rental. The owners are very friendly people and they have a great property setup here for anyone looking to escape.

We had a great overall experience with during our rental of this property. The lodge/ grounds are extremely well kept and the views were beautiful. With it being centrally located, it was short drive to all our favorite monuments and local attractions. My family and I are looking forward to our next trip to the Diamond Spur Lodge.

Great place to stay, lodge is located within days travel to many places near Mt. Rushmore. Property is very clean, accessible, and accommodated our large family of 14. Horses in the yard were a plus for our children to watch along with the deer that visited and the hill behind the lodge to hike!!!

We had the best time staying at the Diamond Spur Lodge. The cabin is immaculate. The kitchen is beautiful with granite counter tops and a large center island. There was plenty of room for seating. Technology-wise, the wifi and cable and tvs were great. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. One problem we always have when we rent cabins is the beds are usually old and sag, making sleep difficult. The beds were incredibly comfortable and supportive. My daughter loved to look out at the horses and was able to go out to the enclosure to pet them. In a less snowy time, we would have loved to roast marshmallows in the fire pit and use the hot tub. We will definitely be coming back as this was the best cabin we have rented in several years of coming to the Black Hills.
