Michael was attentive and helpful, especially as we arrived and got set up. The cabin is set above Esopus Creek, with a lovely view. We took advantage of the grill on the wrap-around porch. The cabin has everything you need to enjoy cooking and eating family meals in a peaceful and relaxing place. We can't wait to come back!

Enjoyed our stay once again for our long weekend. Looking forward to coming again. Michael was an excellent host as usual.

For our two day getaway, the high cabin was wonderful. Cozy and warm, with great rustic ambience, and close to Saugerties and surrounding attractions. Michael was a very gracious host, attentive while giving us space. We cooked in one night and ate out the other.

We had such a pleasant stay at Michael’s cabin. It was beautiful, clean and cozy. Waking up to the view of the river every morning was beautiful. Michael was so hospitable and welcoming as well. Perfect way to start our year as newlyweds. Thanks again Michael and Happy New Year!

We had the best time! The secluded location was perfect for experiencing the beauty and peace of nature, while still being close to everything the area has to offer. The house was beyond cozy and supremely well maintained. Definitely a favorite and we’re looking forward to returning next fall.

With a real attention to detail that I immediately appreciated Michael keeps the property in phenomenal shape; every aspect of the home and grounds are looked after. Location is spectacular. Very peaceful. We love our time at the cabin.

The cabin house was more than what we expected. It had all the amenities needed in and outside of the cabin. It is well maintained and thoroughly clean. We were happy that the place was also dog friendly. We enjoyed our time relaxing at the house, kayaking, fishing, hiking, exploring other areas, and local restaurants. Mike is very friendly, welcoming and attentive. We definitely would return again.

Beautiful property with a breathtaking view of the Esopus Creek. The view from the deck is just unparallel. If you are looking for a getaway that is quiet and amidst perfect nature, this is your place! The log cabin was tastefully decorated. Everything was clean and nicely managed. I guess that's what happens when the owners live very close and take very good care of the property. Michael, the owner, would always respond in 1 to 2 minutes when I texted! One early morning I couldn't find trash bags and I texted him. Whoa! In less than 10 mins a trash bag appeared on the outer deck! It shows Michael's care for his guests. He greeted us in his cabin in person and said goodbye the same way. The human touch made us feel very welcome All the appliances were in great condition and worked perfectly. As Michael mentioned in property listing, there is no Wi-Fi but my cell phone connection was great. I had no problem checking my work emails a little bit every night. The only opportunity with the cabin I'd say is the shower. the hot water system is on demand. It can take a few mins to get it to the right temperature. Given I had a 4-year old, we had to be careful and do some tricks to get it to work. However, this was not at all unmanageable. We'd definitely go back to this place in future!

Call of birds, and the occasional romantic train whistle set the scene. Michael is an excellent host: he leaves you alone but is always there should the need arise. The cabin is beautifully crafted and well appointed. Views from the deck are stunning. This time we went over to HITS which was fun, but there is so much to do in the area.

Michael & Joanne are wonderful hosts. The log cabin and decor was gorgeous. Enjoyed morning coffee sitting on the covered deck watching the river and the family of squirrels playing nearby. Michael had great suggestions in restaurants and activities. It was just a wonderful 4 days of relaxation and exploring Saugerties and the surrounding towns. We would love to come back sometime in the future in perhaps a different season.

The cabin is beautifully crafted clean and cozy. It is located on the creek with peaceful views and we even got to take the kayaks out, even though the weather was chilly. This is all we needed for a long weekend to relax and we would definitely return again. The owner clearly puts a lot of time and effort into making this a great stay, and is very friendly and responsive. Would highly recommend!

The cabin was absolutely beautiful and the photos didn’t do it justice! Michael was extremely helpful and timely with his communication before, during and after! The property was in beautiful condition, my lovely pup, Nova was warmly welcomed and even when I suggested I needed to pop out for more wood for the fire, Michael came to the rescue and dropped more off at the door. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay!!

Log Cabin Living on the Esopus Creek.Michaels Cabin is absolutely beautiful. A feel for a real quaint atmosphere overlooking Esopus Creek. Beautiful Craftsmanship, tasteful decor and, cleanliness definitely on point. Cabin was stocked with things we needed, not to mention for any necessities supermarkets, gas stations, pharmacy, ect are very close by. Perfect location to stay especially if you plan on hiking..trails aren’t too far. Michael was very welcoming. We both felt comfortable instantly. He kept in touch with My boyfriend to ask how everything was going and if we needed anything he even walked us over firewood with his adorable dog that gave me a 100 kisses! Definitely would recommend this cabin during any time of the year, we came during the winter time and we absolutely loved it.. from breathing in the cold crisp air to warming up near the wood stove it’s honestly best feeling! We look forward to visiting again Thank you again! Christina & Dom

Michael's cabin is absolutely fantastic. From the beautiful view overlooking the water to the incredible workmanship and cleanliness of the cabin itself. I could not have asked for more for our 20th anniversary weekend. Michael is an awesome host.....he was available to help with directions, greeted us at the cabin and even left us a little anniversary gift in the refrigerator. We will definitely be coming back! We had an amazing time at this super cozy cottage. Michael couldn’t have been nicer and the setting was just beautiful. We had a great time playing board games with our kids, roasting marshmallows, and skiing at Hunter Mountain. We will definitely be back

We really enjoyed our weekend stay at the property. Michael is a great host, the location is amazing (photos don't do the view justice) and the cabin is very clean and well stocked. We will be returning.

This is our second time staying at our “Happy Place” cabin that already feels like home. And there’s no place like home! It’s such a peaceful and tranquil home at any time of the year. The hosts are charming, hospitable and take great pride of building the cabin themselves. Also, nice having them live down the road. Highly recommend staying here for short or lengthy stays.

Michael met us on arrival and showed us around. The cabin was as-pictured and was immaculately clean. We brought our dog who loved running around in the woods. Great spot to explore other places in Catskills. Hope to go back in better weather to enjoy kayaks and decks.

This was my second visit, and I can now affirm that this is a wonderful place to stay in both fall and summer. In addition to being in a gorgeous spot, the house is extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and perfectly maintained.
