Above the town of Durango, nestled in the mighty San Juan mountains, is Purgatory Resort, a mountain community devoted to an active outdoor lifestyle. At an elevation of 9,000 feet, the air is cool, the stars are close, and the views are breathtaking. A premiere Colorado adventure travel and outdoor recreation destination. Set up your vacation base camp in this clean & modern condo. Unbeatable location, just off of Lower Hades and Styx ski runs, on the Sheol St loop. Just a short walk away from the condo is the “six pack" high speed chair lift One and Purgatory Lodge. ***Purgatory Lodge Access includes access to lodge pool, hot tub , and fitness room. When you stay at our Purgatory Townhomes Condo, you'll find its all about comfort and convenience. With the slope side location, you can park your vehicle and leave it parked for the duration of your stay. With a fully stocked kitchen, you have the option to prepare all of your meals at the condo. Make breakfast, gather your gear, walk to the lifts, and be on one of the first chairs up the mountain! The unit has two balconies with stunning mountain views, where you can savor a hot cup of coffee before hitting the slopes or enjoy a cold beer and snack in-between runs. Amenities in the unit include; large flat screen TV/roku, high speed internet, sleeper sofa, large closet and dresser, and outdoor furniture on the decks. Although Purgatory is famous for its southwest powder and bluebird sunny winter days, those in the know can tell you that it doesn't get any better than summertime in the San Juan Mountains. Loved our stay at this cozy little condo. Host was wonderful to work with when we had a little hiccup on our end. Loved being able to have a fire after a long day on the slopes.

We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay here! It was easy to find, Rick was wonderful communicating with us and when we had a last minute emergency he went above and beyond to adjust our dates. We will absolutely stay here again when we are back in the area. Not a single complaint!

The property is nothing like it is on the photos, I got it because it included the gym and pool, on our arrival, they said that our room didn't include the gym and pool, my little girls were sad because there was nothing else to do other than the pool, and to top it off, the air conditioning did not work.

Rick's condo matches the description and photos well. It is a short walk to the main base area, which was easy to manage, even in ski boots, with a 10 and 13 y.o. To other reviews, I would just add that the kitchen is well stocked and Rick was great about communicating with us. Thanks!

Rick was a great host. We actually adjusted our dates a few days before our trip and he was very accommodating.
Only negative,o the washing machine is currently broken. That made things a little difficult with dirty ski clothes.

Great little condo, we really enjoyed our stay here. Looks like the owners have done a nice job of creating a very nice vacation rental. Sadly it shows some wear and tear from those who might be treating it like a hotel vs someone's vacation home. Minor things but abuse is becoming more apparent. Hope future renters take good care of it so all can enjoy it at reasonable prices.

This condo was a steal for the size and location. It boasts a bedroom with two queen beds and a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room. It was very clean and check in was smooth. The bathroom is also newly renovated which was a nice surprise. It is located about 3-5 minutes(walking in ski boots) from the main lift.
Our stay here was perfect and I will definitely be trying to book in the future!

We enjoyed the condo as it was perfect for our family with two small kids. The kitchen was well stocked and plenty of towels for the bathroom. Location to skiing was great too!! A quick walk to the ski lift to start the day! We also paid extra to have access to the heated pool and hot tub. Worth every dollar!!!

TV didn't work even after we called and he explained it. No TV for 5 days. No iron had to borrow one. Deck wasn't cleaned or mirrors and slider door. Very cute inside though.

Great location for family with young kids. Walking distance to Lift 7 and Lift 1, cost was very affordable. Will definitely come back.

This location is absolutely perfect for a family ski trip. We were on the ski mountain, a two minute walk to the lift. We had an easy time getting in and out of the condo. It was clean, cozy, and exactly what we were looking for. The host was fantastic as well. We would definitely go back!

This is a clean, well-equipped property that's a short and direct walk to the main lifts at Purgatory. The view from the two balconies is phenomenal and the facilities are well maintained. I will say, I'd have appreciated more guidance beforehand as to the check-in process, but I can appreciate that the property owner(s) are busy!

You want to stay here. The condo is well-appointed and is a great place to relax or hang out after a day on the trails or slopes. Beds are comfortable and the kitchen is great and well-stocked. We would have loved to stay a lot longer!!

The property was a little dated, but was very clean and cozy. We especially liked the location of the property which had two balconies, and special views.
We would recommend this property to anyone who would like a quiet get-away.

The sliding glass door locks will not lock. And 2 light bulbs in n the bathroom need to be replaced. But over all great property.

Brilliant condo right at the base with all the amenities you could hope for. Comfortable beds, great shower and dialed in kitchen.

The place was clean and spacious. There were three of us staying there (all adults), and it provided enough space for all of us to have a separate area in which to work, and the internet connection was strong and reliable. The only complaint we have is that there was a family with young children in the unit above us who let their children run around and scream, which was very loud and annoying (their running around sounded like a herd of elephants and their screaming was so audible we could hear every word), but they were generally gone during the day, so it was only in the mornings and evenings. Of course, that is really something that the owner of that unit should relay to those staying in that unit.
