Lovers point area is used for picnicking, fishing, swimming, water sports, and surfing. Lovers Point's amenities include a large lawn area, a beach volleyball court, a children's swimming pool, sandy beaches, rocky outcrops, a concrete pier structure, a restaurant, and a snack bar. It is popular for weddings and is home of the annual Feast of Lanterns pageant and fireworks celebration. Please beware before booking your stay that our property management company requires you to sign a contract additionally, in order to provide check-in instructions and grant access to the property.

Clean, had nice view but the power lines are a distraction. Had to buy a reading lamp for living room. Well stocked kitchen. Beds were comfortable and clean. Great location by lovers point. Easy access to the bike trail, did 10 mile 4 times a week

Me and my wife stayed here for 6 months and it was wonderful. A half a block away from the most beautiful coast line in the country. There is nothing like waking up and looking out the window to see whales jumping. Didn't have any issues with property managers. They were very tentative and even brought us a Brady cradle when my little nephew came to visit.

The Lover's Point Mermaid Cottage was the perfect place to spend my month of October. My expectations were exceeded! The location was ideal and allowed me to easily get out and walk the ocean path 3-4 times a day. I was able to work in front of the 2nd floor front window and stare out at the ocean all day! And Pacific Grove stole my heart. I loved walking around downtown and stopping in the shops and restaurants.

Beautiful place to spend a month. One house back from Ocean View Blvd, which is actually nice when the weekend crowds descend on Lover's Point. The view of Monterey Bay from the living room window is better than pictured - plenty of otter sightings and even a whale. Matthew and his team were very responsive to our requests. Our only regret is not booking a longer stay.

Great place to stay in Monterey. Close to beach and walking trails as well as swimming and biking. Comfy small house has what is needed and is new and clean. Kind neighbors and parking for 1 car right in front. Beautiful view from upstairs!

What a beautiful home on the ocean! We loved the way it was decorated and the home was spotless! We were close to fishermans wharf and cannery row! The stay even included 2 passes to the Monterey aquarium! We absolutely loved are time in this home and look forward to returning again in the future! Can't say enough good things about this place! It was simply amazing.

Beautiful home in a perfect location at Lover's point to access gorgeous views and water activities/biking. The home is lovely, beds very comfortable and household well maintained! I can't wait to return!

Lover's Point Mermaid Cottage exceeded our expectations for ocean access and for ease of walking to shops and restaurants. Our booking liaison was wonderful to work with and provided several recommendations that became "go-to" favorites while we were there. Will definitely book this cute mermaid cottage again!

We had a wonderful time at this little house. The views from the second floor were amazing. My 4 year old love using the binoculars to look at boats on the water. It was very clean and comfortable. I don’t think the pictures do it justice. The house had everything you would need. It even had a drawer full of sand toys for the beach. The only negative we found was that the lighting in the house is very harsh. I think the lights must be older LEDs or something. We spent most nights with the lights off in the living room. It felt a little like we were sitting under stadium lights.

This is the ideal location for families who want to explore Monterery, Carmel and the rest of this amazing part of the world. Ideal because it is the perfect walking distance north to the aquarium and south to the incredible views. Easy parking in front of property means you can leave your car. We only drove once during our 4-day visit and that was for the spectacular 17-mile drive. The home itself is cozy and well-equipped. Easy to drop-into and feel right at home. Quiet and tidy. Joy to look at out at the ocean and use the telescope to see the many otters and seals. The two aquarium passes are a great bonus, as it saves you $100/day because you can go multiple times. Highly recommend taking the passes at least once to the aquarium.

This was a perfect base for our Jazz Festival weekend. The close proximity to the bay and the fairgrounds combined with near perfect weather is exactly what we needed. The only thing less than perfect was we did not see the aquarium passes until we were checking out of the house and one couple ended up paying for entrance. Other properties we've stayed at left them and instructions for care and use of the property on a counter that was easily seen. We will look to stay there in the future.

Small house close to the walking trails and swimming and biking and of course - the Aquarium! Cozy and clean with 1 parking spot right in front. Neighbors are kind and quiet. Lots of great restaurants!

We visited the house during a vacation with a senior and child. It was a great location and we very much appreciated the aquarium passes. We found the seating in the living and dining area to be challenging- with only seating for 3 in living room and dining chair were fold up chairs. Overall, a great house!!

What a wonderful little house just a block away from Lovers Point. The house was perfect for our time in Monterey. Upstairs you could see the ocean and you got the perfect breeze with the windows open. Everything is in walking distance- beaches, kayak/bicycle rentals, and ocean view restaurants. We loved our visit to The Monterey Bay Aquarium and were able to use 2 guest passes, compliments of the owner. We would love to go back and will definitely look into using The Mermaid House again.

This home is sparkling clean and had everything we needed. We love the location-one block to Pacific Grove's walking/running trail. We walked to and ate at the Beach House and it was delicious! We'll definitely be back.
