About this resort
Situated in Durango, this attractive resort for $108 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Nestled in the Animas River Valley surrounded by the San Juan Mountains, the breathtaking mountain town of historic Durango awaits. With the Animas River—El Río de las Animas (River of Souls)—running through and just steps away from San Juan National Forest, this is the ideal getaway for outdoor aficionados with gold medal fly fishing waters, whitewater rafting, kayaking and canoeing. Durango is also popular for outdoor activities like hiking, mountain biking, road biking, backpacking, slacklining, rock climbing, hunting, off-roading, year-round fishing, and golfing. A visit to Durango would not be complete without a ride on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, with stunning mountain scenery and an education on the area's mining history. The Durango Resort offers apartment-style accommodation with fully equipped kitchens, a fitness center and two outdoor hot tubs with breathtaking mountain views. Things to Know: The resort assigns the specific unit around the time of check-in so your view may vary. Let us know if you have a preference to be near a specific location throughout the resort or if you would like a specific view. We will gladly notate your preference and send this over to the resort as your stay gets closer. Please notate that requests are not guaranteed. The resort will be experiencing nearby construction directly across the street from May 2023 - May. 2025. For the entire construction period, there will be a one-lane closure to the main road leading to the resort and a full closure periodically. Additionally, construction noise will be ongoing from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. You may encounter noise, dust, odors, and work crews during this time. If you have any questions, please reach out to the resort directly. A credit card is required for the $250 security deposit requested at check in. Starting October 1st, 2023, there will be a $12.00 nightly parking fee for all guests. The resort will be undergoing renovations beginning Oct. 1, 2024 - Nov. 27, 2024. During this time, there may be limited parking.

We loved thw room, the christmas decorations & the pool table and Foosball table right outside our room on the second floor! It was so nice that we could walk to the train station & didnt have to worry about parking!!

I traveled to Durango early for my elk hunt. It was my wife’s birthday so she went with me a week early and flew home when I went to elk camp. It was the perfect place for us to stay and enjoy Durango!!

We loved the location and ease of being able to walk to everywhere we wanted in downtown Durango! Being right next to the train station was amazing as well! Highly recommend!!!

We were very happy with the accommodation and would definitely stay again for what we paid. The staff at the front desk were super friendly and helpful. We loved the location just on the edge of downtown and around the corner from the train depot. There was a lot of construction noise from across the street, but that was limited to the daytime when we were away and the property proactively notified us ahead of time about the construction. Otherwise, the place was quiet and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with basics needed to cook a simple meal. We didn't have the chance to use any of the on-site amenities, so can't comment on that.

Wanted a place where I could park the car and leave it. Easy walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Very nice place with everything you need. If I travel to Durango again, this is where I'll stay.

Lovely, clean and perfect accommodation for our group 4. Walking distance to old town Durango and its shops and restaurants. But. . . . being old Colorado residents, we were so disappointed in what Durango has become. Just another gentrified piece of suburbia. Durango has lost its western character. It felt like Boulder.

It was a great place to stay as it was clean and quiet. Also the location was as we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go downtown. Alex and others were very helpful and polite, answered all our questions. We had a great time in Durango.

Staff was outstanding. Great. So friendly. Room was ok. Our room was switched last minute, think because of cleaning g issues and timing. Bed was great, carpet floor was gross, very old and dirty. Shower drain had issues and pan would overflow. Dryer broke when multiple people wanted to do laundry.

The cute deck with a great shade tree in front of it was perfect to enjoy a glass of wine after a long drive.

Beautiful property, very convenient, right downtown. Nicely appointed rooms, very clean rooms and public spaces. The front desks Employees are very helpful and informative always ready to assist you in anyway. The Maintenace and Housekeeping folks very friendly. Short walk to the railway.
I would stay here again, we really enjoyed the condo, very comfortable.

This is a great hotel for a family of 4. The pull out couch and bed were both very comfortable. The suite was clean and had full size appliances in the kitchenette. Great location in walking distance to several restaurants and a grocery store. Also very unique structure of the building. We had a very pleasant stay.

The place had everything we needed including a big comfortable bed. But the best part was checking in with Amy, who worked the front desk the whole weekend. She was so helpful on recommendations for restaurants and things to do around town. She was fantastic and after a long day of driving was very welcoming.

Everything at the property was great for us, everyone was kind and helpful. Free laundry, games, everything we'd need in the kitchen. Would definitely come back here again.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights with our baby and we had the best time! It was super close to downtown so we walked everywhere. The hot tubs on the roof were nice for us to relax at night. The front desk staff was so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Durango.

The property was amazing. Very cozy and comfortable. The staff was readily available and was able to answer questions we had about our stay in Durango. The property is located in the perfect location as it is within walking distance to historic downtown Durango. The mountain view behind the Wyndham was beautiful. My husband and I highly recommend staying at the Wyndham Durango.

We loved staying here for our honeymoon. We loved the location and staff! The staff was there to help with anything and very friendly! It was very clean and they helped with any inconveniences we had. They even had a gift basket waiting for us in our room after having difficulty with our car rental. We will returning in the future to stay here!

The best Wyndham we’ve ever stayed in! Staff was friendly and always helpful. We were here for almost three weeks and loved being so close to downtown Durango. We walked to dinner every night, it was the perfect location to do all the hiking we wanted and were went To Mesa Verde twice! We also drove out to Pagosa Springs and to 4 Corners! The train yard was right next to the hotel so we were able to hear and see the train coming back every night and leaving every morning!

Location was perfect. Right in town could walk to everything. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, ample amenities in kitchen and bath. Highly recommend for a couple.

Clean property and loved the rooftop hot tub! Only thing I would say is the hot tub cover blocked the view of the mountains, but still worth it! Great location to the strip and mountains!

Location of the property is right next to the train station. It is in a cul-de-sac so there's not too much traffic. Parking by permit for hotel guests. The unit is very clean and kitchen adequate. Our only problem was kids next door on our 2nd night, we had to knock on the connecting wall. Staff was very courteous and pleasant. Would recommend !

Very clean and well-maintained property! I would recommend if you’re going to Durango to stay here. Walking distance to old town and close to the river trail. of course it’s right next to the Durango railroad station. Also close to the sky steps. The beds were wonderful and comfortable lots of pillows. All of the kitchen amenities. Shower was great, large lofty towels and plenty of hot water!

We always stay downtown at the Wyndham when we come to Durango. The accommodations are stellar and the staff is also great. The hotel is walking distance to everything in downtown. The rooms are large and have a full service kitchen of your own. Will stay again.
