We enjoyed our stay. The home was incredibly clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make good meals (good kitchen knives, cutting board, pots, pans, etc.) The home was spacious and well lit and good heating (5 thermostats controlling various baseboard heating so we were always warm). The deck that overlooks the bay had two large deck chairs with an electric heater and a canopy so I could sit outside in the rain and enjoy the peace of the water and birds. The bed was very firm which would be my only suggestion to add another softer mattress. The path to the private beach was very easily accessible for myself and my 4 year old. There was a sandbox with toys and a soccer ball that kept my daughter occupied. Overall, we really enjoyed this peaceful retreat.

We came away looking forward to reading in front of the advertised gas fireplace in the living room - and it did not work. We reported it right away but no one was able to come to get it working. We said we would be leaving at 11 on Sat but no one came before that. When we finished hiking we saw a text had come in to say that someone could come between 11:45 and 12 to get the fireplace working. I think it is unreasonable to expect renters to miss their activities in order to accommodate maintenance- all facilities should be in good working order when ready to be rented.
