Wow everything as soon as you walk in !
Quiet location, close drive to Katoomba central.
Spectacular views - the sunsets were something else.
Very clean, large comfortable bedrooms and huge living areas.
Fully equipped and generously stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Nothing rationed.
We didn't use the games and lounge area downstairs, but that looked great too.
Pushing it...
The toilet roll holder in ensuite was broken. Not checked from last stay but no big drama.
Could do with firmer pillows but maybe stored in wardrobes?

In many ways this is a great accommodation. The kitchen is fully equipped - more knives, cups, plates, than you will ever need. It has an oven, large fridge, stove, microwave. And what was a very nice surprise was when you open the storage at the kitchen area - you have more than enough tea, coffee, various sauces, spices, olive oil, balsamic - we have stayed in many accommodations in the past, we have not seen a better stocked kitchen.
The place is very clean and the seating areas in the dining and living area are nice, comfortable and clean. The house is spacious, with plenty of room to relax. The location is superb. Very near to Scenic World, Three Sisters and we caught a superb sunset at Cahill's Lookout, also very nearby. It is less than 5 mins drive to Woolworths Katoomba and the town centre so location wise is perfect.
The view from the accommodation is great. You have uninterrupted view of nature and you can't help but get a very serene feeling just looking out of the window, sipping a hot cup of tea in the hand, with the freshest air and a nice morning temperature of 12 degrees celsius even though it is the start of summer.
On the first floor of the accommodation, there is a big pool table with a nice projector TV connected to Bose speakers. All the TVs have NetFlix, Disney+ and Prime Video. And unlike all the other accommodations I have been to, they all have logged in accounts, so you don't need to login with your own credentials.
It is certainly one of the most memorable stay we have ever had.
Three things:
1) While there is central heating for the bedrooms and it seems to have cooling function (as indicated from the remote control), we couldn't get the cooling function to work. Each of the bedroom is equipped with a standing fan. On the first day where the temperature was close to 30 degrees, the heat was quite unbearable. Luckily it cooled down in the night and subsequent days were cool.
2) When we contacted the hosts via WhatsApp to ask about the air-conditioning in the rooms, the host replied immediately asking us which property we were referring to. After informing that it is Skycrest, host was silent and there was no more reply. So we went to raise a concern via Booking.com messaging at night for two things: one that the air-conditioning in the living room was leaking lots of water, and that we have not received any reply regarding air-conditioning. The host replied quickly very early in the morning and said that someone will be sent over to look into the leaking aircon, and to guide us on how to use the room aircon. We waited the whole morning - no one came, and there is no more news from the host. So until the third day when we checked out, we did not have the host helping us with this simple problem.
3) There are some things that are not very well upkept. a) Leaking aircon in the living room b) barbeque pit looks greasy from previous use c) the bedroom with the attached bathroom - the bathroom lock is broken, and there is no lock to any of the bedrooms either.
If the host had been more responsible, it would certainly have made our stay even better.
